Home description
The apartment is extremely quiet as it is situated on the ground floor on the rear side of the building, on Asboth utca, which is a no through road with minimal traffic. However once you step outside the buildings’ front door and turn the corner you find yourself in one of the most vibrant parts of the city. The apartment looks out onto a shady green and flowery terrace, which can be used by guests for relaxing after a long day of discovering the city. Garden furniture (table and chairs) is present on the terrace.
The Apartment Art Deco is 50m2 area, and comprises a separate bedroom, 1 living room/bedroom, a well-equipped American style kitchen/diner, bathroom with massage shower cabin and a separate WC.
All bedding in the apartment is anti-allergic.
The kitchen has a full range of appliances including: 4-ring gas cooking hob, refrigerator, microwave, electric toaster, electric kettle, filter coffee machine and filter papers and all necessary pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery, plus a supply of coffee, tea, spices, cooking oil and condiments.
Also present in the apartment are electric iron, ironing board, drying rack, hairdryer, radio-alarm clock. Shampoo, shower gels, soap etc. are also provided.
There are sleeping facilities for up to 4 persons comprising: 2 single beds and a corner unit sofa bed, which extends into a comfortable double bed.
The apartment has been completely renovated and equipped in July 2007 and is furnished with several pieces of genuine Art Deco furniture and ornaments purchased from antique shops or renovated by the apartment owner. All other furniture, equipment, fittings etc. are completely new as of July 2007.

The Central Hungary/Danube region
Being located in the downtown area, just about all places of interest are easily reached by foot or by Budapest's efficient and low-cost public transport system. Just around the corner and about 2 minutes walk is Déak Square (Déak tér) metro station, which is the main metro intersection for the whole of the Budapest metro system.
The Central Synagogue, the largest in Central and Eastern Europe is located within 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment at the start of the area that was the Jewish Ghetto during the Second World War. The St. Stephen’s Basilica is located 5 minutes walk away.
About 7 minutes walk away are the well-known Vaci utca, the main pedestrian shopping street of Budapest and the Central Market Hall. Another couple of minutes walk from either of these will bring you to the banks of the River Danube, with its magnificent views of the Budapest Castle, Citadel and bridges.
For access to parts of Budapest outside of the immediate area, public transport by bus, tram or via the metro is just a 2-3 minute walk from the apartment at Déak Square
A bus service to the Castle Area on the Buda side of the Danube runs from Déak Square.

Everything that a visitor to Budapest could wish for is within minutes walk of the apartment, including: all type of shops, supermarkets, currency exchange offices, ATMs, numerous fast-food and other restaurants including MacDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Subway, to name but a few, in addition to traditional Hungarian restaurants, Kosher restaurants and numerous international restaurants.
Directly opposite the apartment is a low-cost lunch cafeteria and a few doors further the Castro Bisztro coffee house. A pharmacy is one minute’s walk away and a Second-Hand English book store and the English language Merlin Theater are within a few minutes walk.
How to get there
Wizz air and Easy jet fly to Budapest Airport, as do British Airways and Malev. We are also only 2 hours from Vienna and Bratislava

What a wonderful place to stay in Budapest! This apartment is an amazing little gem in the heart of the city.
My husband, myself and 1 year old son stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our vacation. Everything and anything you could need was here. The attention to detail in the apartment was outstanding and Martin and Gabi's personal touches were amazing.
I would happily recommend this apartment to any couple or small family looking to stay within walking distance of the sights. It had all the conviences of home including a fully stocked kitchen, computer and sitting room, and was extremely reasonably priced.
Our only regret is having to fly home! Nigeljuliedean, London, Canada Nov 3, 2007 ================================================================== The apartment is in the very centre of downtown, just a few minutes walk to famous Vaci Ulca, with easy access to supermarket, bus and metro station. This is in a great location to visit budapest city centre on foot. We enjoyed very much walking down to the river in the evening. The apartment is on the ground floor but VERY quiet. The beds are comfortable but I I have to mention the sofa-bed which can be easily turned to a five-foot double bed is wonderful. Martin and Gabi, the owner, did put a lot of effort picking something nice for the guests. They even provide a computer and free internet service. The kitchen and bathroom are well-decorated and fully-equipped. We feel very much at home in the apartment. We had stayed in some other apartments but the stay in Art Deco is the best.

The apartment is beautifully furnished, very clean, good value and extremely well located. The owners, Martin and Gabi are very friendly and helpful, but yet unobtrusive. We are already recommending the apartment to our friends and will stay again in future.
