The Central Hungary/Danube region
Buda and Pest: two cities for the price of one, and with a fabled river, the Danube, in between. Bustling Pest has historical treasures from its Habsburg and Jewish past, while verdant, hilly Buda is a hiker’s heaven. Although Hungary joined the European Union in 2004, its capital retains an eastern mystique, with twisty old streets lined with beautiful architecture and a populace that knows the importance of not spending all one’s time working.

Review submitted by Steve from LONDON ENGLAND (Submitted: 12/04/2007)
"The property was in an excellent location with just a short walk from the Danube, metro and all ameneties, making it perfect for sight seeing and touring the city. The apartment itself was in superb condition, very clean and homely, spacious enough for two and gave a feeling of safety throughout. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Budapest including those who were considering spending £200.00 - £300.00 a night in a good hotel. I will return!"
Review submitted by Samantha from UK (Submitted: 04/01/2007)
"The studio apartment has been lovingly decorated by its owners with the intention to reflect a hotel suite. They have achieved this. The furnishings have an antique feel, and the decor is elegant. The bathroom and the kitchenette are both very modern and in impeccable order. The apartment is in a superb location, literally a few minutes walk from Parliament, freedom square, the danube and the underground. An excellent base from which to explore Budapest. The apartment owner Erica, and her husband Matt were very accomodating and kind enough to let us stay in the apartment until late afternoon, given our early evening flat. In addition, thet provided lots of guidance on what to visit in the city, and where to eat/drink. All in all, my partner and I believe this to be an excellent value for money apartment, particularly when you compare to the 4* hotels in the area, of which this is equivalent in standard. "
