Home description
A fabulously renovated classic apartment in the heart of Budapest. A wonderfully light, airy and spacious 104sqm flat with a high standard of renovation as shown in photos available. The bathroom contains a Jacuzzi/Whirlpool style bath - very relaxing! The property has been furnished with modern furniture, with TV & DVD (TV is specific for watching DVD's) and Internet. The apartment is top floor of an elevator serviced apartment building, making it very peaceful, when within the City centre. Local amenities are exceedingly good, with cafe's, bars, restaurants, fast food restaurants, post office, and corner style shop within a minute or two of the flat and the tube station Astoria virtually outside the front door! A Spar grocery shop and bakery are a few minutes walk up the road.
The apartment, which benefits from Central Heating and gas cooker, has been fitted to include all main white goods; fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave, double and two single beds, wardrobes/chest of drawers, sofa bed, sofa, coffee table, TV, dining room table & chairs, kichen utensils/cutlery etc.

The Central Hungary/Danube region
The Danube flows north to south dividing Budapest into two regions. Budapest is almost in the centre of the country and divided by the river, with Buda on the west and Pest on the east. Many bridges connect the two cities, the most beautiful of which is the Chain Bridge designed by the Scotish engineer Adam Clark. Buda with its castle on the hill, serene old houses, squares, cathedral and cafes is the older of the two. The city has a fantastic bathing culture, and there are many thermal baths to visit.
One of the most fascinating capital cities of Europe, with plenty of diverse activities on offer, Budapest has it all for a wonderful city break!
Budapest / District 5 area
The apartment is situated in an area which provides unrivaled transport links, providing guests with great access to all parts of the city of Budapest. The apartment is located in an arc bordering Districts 5, 7 & 8, and very close via foot or Tram to the wonderful cafe and restaurant street of Raday Utca in District 9. Access to Vaci Street is within 10 minutes on foot, with the Danube within walking distance too. If walking is not for you, then within a minute of the apartment is the "Astoria" tube station, from which Trams and Buses depart too. A few of the places I would recommend are as follows;
Hero's Square is a must for anyone visiting Budapest. A vast paved area with fabulous museums at either side and adorned with the statues of the Heros and Leaders from times past.
Hungarian Baths! They are fantastic, and you will find one of the best through the park behind Hero Square. Both indoor and outdoor pools of varying heat.
Margaret Island is one of the most majestic places in all of Europe, not just Budapest. An large area of green parks and woodland, in the middle of the Danube, right in the centre of Budapest. Amazing!
Raday Utca, is a fabulous street full of great restaurants and bars. It is located in District Nine, about a ten minute walk down Muzeum Korut, or a brief Tram Ride which you can catch from outside the Astoria Tube Station.
Spoon is a floating restaurant on the Pest sided of the Danube. This vessel has been converted to a superb standard, and with breathtaking views to be enjoyed while dining on marvelous food, this place is a must visit.
Cafe Kor is a small, intimate restaurant located in Sas Street, which is a side street off from St Stephens Basillica. Fantastic food at reasonable prices.
St Stephens Basilica, which is a monumental building of architectural brilliance.
You may also be interested to find the Jewish Museum in the road opposite the apartment, The National Museum in the road adjacent which is Muzeum Korut. Many Opera Houses, Theaters and Museums are to be found in Central Budapest too. Bars and nightclubs are plentiful.
How to get there
Traveling to Budapest has never been easier with a wealth of established airlines flying in and out of Ferihegy Airport, which is a Thirty to Fourty minute drive into the centre of the City. Budget airlines are competing for business and so prices are very reasonable, with services from most European Cities.

Wizz Air (The Hungarian Low Cost Carrier) also operate a daily service to Budapest out of Luton airport at various times according to the day of the week and time of year (service may be reduced during Winter months) Visit www.wizzair.com for more details. Wizz air also have sevices to Budapest from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bourgas, Brussels, Bucharest, Corfu, Heraklion, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Katowice, Malmo, Palma, Paris, Rhodes, Rome, Sofia, Split, Stockholm, Tis-Mures and Warsaw.

The apartment was terrific (your a lucky man) and Budapest was everything that I had hoped it would be. Your agent was as helpful as possible too.
The apartment was impressive and I would certainly recommend it.
Best wishes

We had an excellent time thank you and your advice helped us get our initial bearings from where we were able to then explore more. Attila the taxi driver was spot on with his time keeping and driving and he did his best to educate us on the city etc, in fact, he rarely took a breath and was obviously really keen to practice his English on us ! The restaurants you suggested were good and the apartment was fantastic. . Thank you once again and who knows we may be in touch again for a second visit
Regards
Brian
Hi Jason, thanks for all your help. It's a beautiful apartment, and my Dad really enjoyed staying there; we'll definitely be recommending it to everyone who comes out to visit in the future.
Thanks - Cath
Hi Jason,
We had a fantastic time in Budapest. The apartment is in a great location. It's light, airy and beautifully decorated. The maps and information left for visitors are a nice touch - as is the fact that you don't have to check out in the morning if your flight is in the afternoon. We took the taxi service to and from the airport - which couldn't have worked out more smoothly. All in all a great stay. I'd definitely recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to make the most of their time in this beautiful City.
Thanks Cat.
