Key Info
  • Not suitable for children
  • Some pets are welcome - please contact the owner

Our funky, newly renovated and furnished apartment is situated in one of the most beautiful leafy streets of the Diplomatic district. Just a street back from Andrassy Avenue on the small metro line, close to all major sights and the best food and coffee.

It is perfect for a romantic hideaway for couples. The flat is very private, it overlooks a lovely leafy courtyard, with its own staircase and wrought iron gate. It has one bedroom , a lounge, kitchen and bathroom. In the lounge there is also a sofa bed, so it is suitable for a third person as well. You can also talk to us if you have a little dog and you would like to travel with him or her. I know how hard it is to leave a small family member behind.

The flat is small but perfectly formed. It is light and airy at the same time. The walls are adorned with artwork painted by my father. It is like staying in a little jewellery box.

The Neighbourhood

This is one of the best districts you could stay while in Budapest. The apartment is in a nice and neat building, right next to the Austrian Embassy. Diagonally opposite are the Chinese and Vietnamese Embassies. This is why this leafy area is called the Embassy District. It also means that it is a safe area. There is pay parking on the street in front of the house.

Benczur street runs parallel with Andrassy Avenue, and it takes 2 minutes to walk there from the house. Right there you are able to hop on the underground ( at Bajza utca station), which will take you to the City Park, or to the Center. Alternatively you can walk and take in the sights of gorgeous palaces built at the end of the 19th century. There are coffee houses and restaurants along the way to keep you going.

Getting around

Metro line 1 is 2 minutes away. You can walk to the Bajza utca (street) station in 2 minutes. There are also buses running on Andrassy Avenue and there are trolley bus lines 5 minutes away in the opposite direction. However, you can get anywhere by walking as well. The City Park is an easy 10 minute stroll away, while if you walk down Andrassy Avenue at a slow pace, you will be at the Danube in 30 minutes.

There is paying parking outside the house.

There are also bicycle hubs around the place, close to the flat.

The famous Szechenyi Baths is in the City Park, a 10 minute walk from the flat. Alternatively you can visit the lovely Zoo, which is almost opposite the Baths.
