A trip to the dentist may not be at the top of your holiday or business agenda. However, should you need or choose to go, it should be a pleasant surprise: Dentistry in Budapest is of a high standard and considerably cheaper than in Western Europe. Dental tourism is becoming more popular as the secret is out!

The same applies to plastic surgery too. Hungarian plastic surgeons train for 8 years to qualify to a very high standard.

Spa baths are in abundance along with a plethora of health treatments.

The Central Hungary region

Budapest is often compared with Paris, perhaps because the romantic boulevards were inspired by those of Paris.

Being in the heart of the City Centre, you will be a short walk away from the extraordinary range of Museums, Ancient Spa Baths, shops, parks, activities and services.

The State Opera House, The Museum of Fine Arts (Szépmuvészeti Múzeum) and The Franz Liszt Academy of Music are just the tip of the iceberg when considering the many exceptional institutions at which the Arts can be enjoyed nearby. All at a fraction of the cost of many other European countries. A truly unmissable venture for the culture vultures among us!

The Fisherman's Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest, around Matthias Church.

St. Stephen's Basilica is a Roman Catholic basilica in Budapest, Hungary. It is named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), whose mummified fist is housed in the reliquary.

The Houses of Parliament are open to the public. This impressive building was constructed at a time when Hungary was three times the size it is now, prior to the Great War.

Off a quiet and elegant courtyard, this apartment is ideal for a holiday, short break or business trip. 300m from the National Museum it is 5 minutes walk from The Great Synagogue in Dohany. Utca. A short stroll from the Danube and the Chain Bridge. As locations go, they don't get much better than this.

The beautifully maintained Karolyi Garden is behind the apartment with safe play areas for children. There are many further parks around the City.

There is a wonderful choice of excellent, and mainly cheap, local restaurants . The nearby Ráday utca, about 5 minutes walk from the apartment, is a pedestrianised road lined with restaurants.

Local shops include delicatessens, supermarkets, clothes shops and tailors, antique shops and bookshops, convenience stores to list but a few. Banks with ATMs are widely available.

The ferry port of Belgrád rakpart is under 1km walk on the Danube. From here you can cruise to Margaret Island, take an evening cruise with dinner to Vienna or simply take a sightseeing tour on the Danube.

Keen walkers can take the ferry to a variety of beautiful hiking destinations, such as Esztergom, Nagymaros, Visegrád and Vác.

This is an ideal location to stay for the Budapest Grand Prix which takes place in July. An annual event, it is of international interest, drawing an eclectic mix of enthusiasts and workers to the City.

There are cinemas offering the latest films, mostly with English soundtracks. If you like shopping centres, the new arena plaza shopping centre, 2 metro stops away, is the largest shopping centre in Europe. There are many other shopping centres nearby.

"Lovely apartment in a great location"

My husband and I stayed at the apartment with our 2 teenage sons. The apartment is in a really central location with everything you need on your doorstep. Although the building is on a main road, the internal courtyard means that most of the noise from the street doesn't reach the apartment. Just behind the flat are quiet streets and a lovely park if you want a place to sit and relax outdoors. Ruben's restaurant is a two minute walk from the apartment and serves good food at very reasonable prices. There is also a 24 hour shop nearby that sells all the essentials. Tesco and a Spar supermarket are less than 10 minutes away and the Pont Pek bakery (near Spar) sells fantastic croissants, bread, pizza and salads. The flat itself is decorated like a boutique hotel and despite the 39 degree heat outside, still managed to remain cool inside. We had a great time and would definitely stay at the apartment again.

"Great location for sight seeing"

My friend and I had a lovely weekend in Budapest staying at this property. The flat is well equipped and comfortable. It is a quiet, courtyard haven on a busy street. Metro, tram & bus are all near by, making this an ideal location to see Budapest. Shower needs a curtain or screen.Useful to have a WI-FI conection. Ruben restaurant, just behind the flat had good food, reasonably priced.

"Practically Perfect in Every Way"

A group of 4 girlfriends and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for 3 nights in February and found everything about our stay utterly flawless - the apartment was immaculate and very spacious...which was great when you had 5 vain females trying to beautify at the same time. Daniel the apartment manager, was a fantastic help providing bespoke recommendations in line with what he thought would best appeal to our tastes, he got it all 100% right from restaurants, clubs, bars and even where best to watch the Six Nations clash between Wales and England. Budapest was such a diverse, fascinating city and I only wish we had more time to explore - a return trip in the future is definitely on the cards. I would strongly recommend this apartment to couples, small families or a group of friends as it is simply gorgeous and such fantastic value for money in a very, very central location. Many Thanks

"Pre-Christmas Trip to Budapest"

Adam, Just wanted to say thank you very much for the use of your lovely apartment in Budapest. It was gorgeous, well equipped and ideally located for so many attractions. I loved being able to walk to so many places of interest. Daniel was very welcoming and a great help too by offering good tips on places to visit to suit everyone. We had a fab time, totally loved everything about the city of Budapest and will certainly look to return again to explore some more ! Thanks also for the tips about the opera house. We enjoyed a wonderful night listening to the Budapest philharmonic orchestra for a fraction of the cost it would be at home ! If you book a box, make sure you you book row 1 seats ! Enjoy x

"perfect apartment"

The apartment was very nice, modern and spacious. The location is perfect, a high number of the main sights are within walking distance. The manager who let us in was very helpful, and there was no problem with early check-in and late check-out either. We can highly recommend this accomodation, especially for its unbeatable value for money - should we come again, we will definitely stay here.

"Great Stay at the Centre of an Exciting City"

This is one cool, stylish apartment in the centre of the Pest half of Budapest. It has all mod cons, comfortable beds in two good sized bedrooms, large mirror wardrobes, modern kitchen and bathroom, clean and well appointed accommodation. We stayed from 1-7 October in a glorious Indian Summer, with hot blue skies and warm evenings. The apartment is close to the Astoria Metro station, and at the hub of connections for tram, bus and metro. Within an easy walk to the Danube bridges, the shopping districts and plenty of local restaurants and bars. Top of our eating out list was Rubens restaurant in the street behind the apartment, a two minute walk away. Great food and good value, and the place was usually full, so wise to book a table. We saw many of the tourist spots, and Budapest is rich in history, architecture and the struggles of its warm and friendly people. Go to the Terror House and be humbled by the oppression that Hungarians went through in the last century. With over 25,000 students in the city, it has a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and the four of us would strongly recommend this as a great European City Break. The friendly welcome started when we were met at the airport by car - and this transfer both ways costs just €40 - well worth it to be dropped at your door with the keys.
