A cosy studio with gallery for up to 6 persons in the famous bohemian area of District 7.

The building is at the corner of Dohány and Nyár Streets, it's residents are calm and friendly.

The courtyard used to give place for some of the swimming pools of Hungária Bath, today it is functioning as a yard surrounded by apartments.

Because of this, there is a little musty smell in the flat, but a demister is working continuously cleaning the air. Also opening the window a little will solve the problem completely.

The flat itself in spite of it's relatively small size fits to accomodate up to 6 persons. The first room is the well equipped kitchen. To the right is the living room with large windows looking onto the courtyard. The sofas provide a nice spot to sit, talk and spend a good time together or just to rest during the day. Two of the sofa beds can be opened into double beds. Stairs leads the way up to the gallery, equipped with a double bed and a double sofa bed. To the left from the entrance of the living room the neat bathroom with a corner tub can be found.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, a fridge/freezer, dishes, cutlery set, coffee maker and a microwave. The bathroom with a charming corner tub.

The flat has a TV-set and a fast Wi-fi connection.

The price includes all equipment and utilities, internet, power and heating.

Cleaning also included.

Clean and fresh bed linen for each guest.

I provided towels in the beginning, but due to pretty regular misuse - wiping up the floor, cleaning the shoes with them - I kindly ask you to bring along your towels.

Parking is possible in nearby garages for approx. 3500Huf (12 Euros) / 24 hours.

Parking is free in the streets of District 7 from Friday 20:00 to Monday 8am.

Also there is a huge free parking space in front of the City Park - to the right from Heroes' Square - at Dozsa Gyorgy ut.

Though it is approx. 1.5 - 2 kms away, parking is free anytime there and is easily approachable by Metro 1 from nearby Oktogon or Trolleybus 74.

House Rules:

Between 22:00 at night and 8:00 in the morning bluster, noise, loud music and parties are strictly FORBIDDEN in the stairway or the apartment by Hungarian Laws and House Community Rules.

Should be aware that the residents next door would like to rest in their homes.

There are plenty of pubs and clubs and gardens in the neighborhood for parties. Thank you. :)

The Central Hungary/Danube region

Hungary is one of the oldest European countries, situated in the middle of the continent in Central Europe.

Hungary became a Christian kingdom in A.D. 1000 and for many centuries served as a bulwark against Ottoman Turkish expansion in Europe. The kingdom eventually became part of the polyglot Austro-Hungarian Empire, which collapsed during World War I. The country fell under Communist rule following World War II. In 1956, a revolt and an announced withdrawal from the Warsaw Pact were met with a massive military intervention by Moscow. Under the leadership of Janos KADAR in 1968, Hungary began liberalizing its economy, introducing so-called "Goulash Communism." Hungary held its first multiparty elections in 1990 and initiated a free market economy. It joined NATO in 1999 and the EU five years later. In 2011, Hungary assumed the six-month rotating presidency of the EU for the first time.

Budapest is the city of spas, there are a total of 118 hot springs in the city, which feed more than a dozen baths.

Budapest has long, warm, humid summers and short, cold winters. The city averages more sunshine per year than any other European city. Spring and autumn are beautiful here, as is the summer.Early April marks the beginning of spring, and by May the temperature can reach 21 (Celsius). Summer can be quite warm and humid with temperatures in the high 20s. It stays warm until October. December through February temperatures are usually between -6 and zero. It snows frequently, but the snowfall is light. From April to the end of September, there are about ten hours of sun per day.

Budapest

The flat is located in the middle on the way from the classical city center to Körút boulevards. It is also within a 10 minutes walk from the drop-off point of WIZZ AIR transfer bus. Arriving home is fast and easy from the neighbouring Ruin Pubs, Szimpla Pub for instance.

Various non-stop foodstores and groceries can be found in the vicinity, Hungarian, Turkish, Thai and Chinese fast food restaurants as well as a'la carte restaurants, ATMs, money exchange offices and a pharmacy.

Only 5 minutes walk to non-stop working trams 4 and 6 which provide a fast and comfortable journey from district 1 through the inner Districts 5,6,7,8 of Pest up to District 11 on Buda side.

For sightseeing the location is also ideal. Closest intersection is Astoria where all famous sights in the downtown - such as Váci Street, the Danube, The National Museum, The Great Market Hall, Vörösmarty Square, the Main Synagogue, The Basilica, Andrássy road - can be reached in 5-15 minutes. Deák Square - the main intersection point of the 3 Metro lines, buses to the Castle District and Heroes Square - is also in the vicinity.
