This totally renovated, cosy 2 bedroom fisherman’s cottage is a stone’s throw from a small, secluded sandy beach, a short walk from a larger sandy beach and within easy walking distance of the harbour. The dolphins are frequent visitors to this area of coastline and are regularly seen during the summer months – keep an eye out at all times!

The village has an excellent pub, The Admirals, as well as a chemist, local store, post office, hairdressers and library.

The cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the area - there is plenty to do from castles, whisky distilleries, wildlife watching, or just simply building sandcastles!

Findochty (locally pronounced Finechty) oozes character. Wander around the higgly piggledy narrow streets with the many multi-coloured houses to appreciate the real charm of this traditional Scottish village.

We love Findochty, we think you will too.

The Scottish Highlands region

Aberdeenshire is a hidden gem of beaches, mountains and stunning scenery. There is plenty to do (even on rainy days), from castles, to many famous whisky distilleries, fishing, golf or a stroll on one of the many deserted beaches. The coastline is stunning, from rocky headlands to sandy coves with rock pools to explore. Whether you're after an active holiday or a quiet break away from it all, you'll find it here!

Buckie

Findochty is a picturesque fishing village dating back to as early as the 1400's. It used to be a busy fishing port, but the harbour is now home to leisure boats and used for pleasure. The village has an excellent pub serving meals, a convenience store, chemist and post office.

The nearby villages of Portknockie and Cullen are well worth a visit; Portknockie for its rugged coastline and stunning Bow Fiddle Rock and Cullen for it's superb beach, unique shops and ice cream - people come from miles around for a Cullen ice cream!

Buckie is the nearest town, with all the usual amenities - super markets, petrol station etc. There is also a working harbour which is home to the RNLI.
