The holiday home <'t Brugs Palmhuisje> is very centrally situated in the old centre of Bruges, in a pedestrian street, three minutes walking distance from the Main Market Square and the Belfry. It is the ideal location from which to visit the city with its many historical sights. The house dates from the 16th Century and has been fully renovated and luxuriously equipped . It still contains medieval features such as the barrel-vaulted cellar, the authentic beams and the well adjoining the house. In the immediate vicinity there are shops, cafés, bars and restaurants in which to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this historical city.

The Flanders region
In the surrounding area of Bruges, you have medieval cities like Gent, Damme, Brussels and Antwerp.
You can easily make a daytrip to Ypres (only 70 km away) and to the Ypres Salient.
Bruges itself is only 12 km away from the nice Belgian coastline

Bruges is also know as the 'Venice of the Noth', this is beacuse you can make canal trips on the local boats just like in Venice. You can visit this magnificent medieval town on foot or by bike (there is very cheap cycle hire).
There are lots of cosy restaurants, pubs and bars. I would recommend visting: the belfry, gothic churches and architecture and the town's museums. You can visit Bruges in every season. Cycle hire is cheap and a superb way of touring around the area.
How to get there
Eurostar to Brussels and connect through to Bruges Cheap ferry crossing from Dover to Boulogne with Speedferries or Dover to Calais with P & O, Seafrance or Norfolk Line House is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Boulogne or 1 hour from Calais, dual carriage way all the way Fly to Brussels or Charleroi and rent a car
