Originally built as a barn that was part of a working farm, this property has been lovingly converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to eight people. Despite being spacious, the property has a very cosy feeling, in part due to the retention of original features such as wooden beams and an open fire in the sitting room; wonderful for relaxing by on those chilly winter evenings.
For the hazy summer nights, there are front and rear lawns from which you can enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The living area is arranged in an open-plan style and the property boasts a conservatory from which you can soak up the scenery at any time of the year.

The Cumbria/Lake District
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes – the Lake District landscape has inspired several literary greats, including William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Water, where you can cruise the lake on a steam-powered yacht soaking up the scenery in Victorian style, could be for you. Walking is one of the best ways of exploring the Lake District.
For the serious walker the mountains of Skiddaw, Scafell and Helvellyn provide enjoyable challenges, whilst at lower levels there are hundreds of routes wandering among the lakes and stone-walled fields. You can even choose a lake to suit your mood: if bustling lakeside towns and exhilarating watersports take your fancy, then Windermere and Coniston Water, where you can cruise the lake on a steam-powered yacht soaking up the scenery in Victorian style, could be for you. If it’s peace and tranquility you seek then the secluded lakes of Buttermere and Wastwater are not to be missed. Yet Cumbria offers much more than the lakes alone. Explore the National Nature Reserve on Walney Island or visit the picturesque Duddon Valley, where the heather clad moors peppered with birch trees inspired many of Wordsworth’s poems.
With its award-winning gardens and the Lakeland Motor Museum, Holker Hall is also a great day out, whilst in northern Cumbria the peaceful villages of Caldbeck and Ireby offer a haven of solitude and picturesque tranquility. To the east lies the green and sheltered Eden Valley. Its dramatic landscape provides a range of activities including walking, cycling and watersports and is home to the Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre and Lowther Wildlife Park, perfect for a family day out
Broughton-in-Furness / Chapel area
Located in the south-west of the Lake District, Chapels is a small and picturesque hamlet that sits between the nearby mountains and the sea. Surrounding by a patchwork of fields that lead down to the coast, Chapels is a chocolate-box setting from which to explore the local region.
For a selection of pubs and restaurants, Broughton-on-Furness has much to offer. The history of Broughton-in-Furness dates back to the 11th Century, with the oldest building thought to be St Mary's Church, first built in Saxon times. The focus of the town is the Georgian market square with its obelisk erected to mark the jubilee of King George III in 1810. In Elizabethan times a charter was granted to hold fairs, and it is in the Square that the annual reading of the Charter takes place on 1st August. Kirkby-in-Furness plays host to the Furness Railway and provides a convenient and relaxing way to take in the splendour of the locality.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
