About this location
The Worcestershire region
The Swallows is a recently converted barn into a stylist cottage which is located on a traditional working farm - Lower Berrow Farm, in the Hamlet of Ham Green in The beauty Parish of Feckenham. The small local villages have many black and white timber houses including the farmhouse at Lower Berrow Farm which was believed to be a Royal Hunting Lodge. The area had two needle and fishing hook factories in the 1700's. Now Feckenham is a quiet village with a village shop and café, two church's and two pubs serving locally produced food. The Brook Inn is in walking distance from the farm and has live music on a Friday night. There is many walks and places to explore on foot in the area including The circular walk around Hanbury Hall and the Tardebigge Flight - (30 narrow locks in 2 and a quarter miles of water ways) on the Birmingham to Worcester Canal.
The Swallows is a great base to visit Stratford upon Avon, The Cotswolds, Worcester, Birmingham and The Malvern Hill. there are 25 National Trust Properties in a twenty-five mile radius and many leisure activates near by including, horse-riding, golf, swimming, fishing, sailing, kayaking, laser-tag and clay pigeon shooting. Local attractions include Warwick Castle, Cadbury World, Ragley Hall, West Midland Safari Park and The Severn Valley Railway. Touchwood, Webbs Garden Centre and The Bull Ring (Birmingham) are a shoppers paradise within easy reach.
