Home description

Ashtree House is centrally heated and has two double bedrooms, one with a shower and toilet en suite, and two twins bed-rooms for children. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath. , There is a large dining table and comfortable leather sofas seating downstairs. Adjoining is a spacious and airy conservatory with comfortable arm chairs, leading to a pretty garden with yet more seating. Ashtree house is ideal for one couple, two couples , or 2 families

The Central Southern England / Hampshire region

Hampshire is a great holiday spot with much on offer for all varieties of breaks. Set on the coast, water sport fanatics are well catered for, as are golfers and ramblers with the New Forest on your doorstep.

There are outstanding gardens within easy reach - Exbury, Furzey, Braxton, Broadlands and Beaulieu Abbey, near the National Motor Museum.

Places of interest include the maritime town of Portsmouth, Southampton, take a day trip over to the Isle of Wight or head north to histroic Salisbury.


Brockenhurst area

Ashtree House is a comfortably and stylishly furnished four bedroom home with a four star rating with the English Tourism Council. With a conservatory and all modern facilities, it is set in a pretty garden on the borders of Waters Green on the edge of Brockenhurst. Ponies. Donkeys and forest cattle graze freely on Waters Green, which leads directly to the open forest where you may see pigs and deer. The enclosed garden gives space for children to play and there is secure storage for bicycles and other sporting equipment. There is parking for two vehicles.

Five minutes of level walking will take you to the heart of Brockenhurst, where an unrivalled range of village stores can supply your needs, from organic vegetables, fresh baked breads, local meat and game to fine wines and excellent cheeses. Brockenhurst boasts a delightful variety of pubs and restaurants to suit any pocket, style and appetite, so have fun in exploring its gourmet delights. Brockenhurst railway station is on the main line between Bournemouth and London via Southampton Airport. A car is scarcely needed. There is an excellent bicycle hire service and we can arrange forest rides on horseback and riding instruction. There is an excellent golf course within a mile and sailing at Lyminton, about four miles away.


How to get there

Come by main line express train from London or Southampton International Airport - Flybe is good value.
Easy journey by car by M27 and M3 and then through Lyndhurst. We have parking for two cars in the grounds. The local taxi firm is Hayter's Taxis.
