About the home

Stylish and practical two bed apartment located on a quiet, residential road. The apartment has been tastefully renovated yet retains a sense of history with the two bedrooms featuring original huge arched ceilings.

This is a quiet location yet you are only a 3min walk into the hustle and bustle of Broadstairs High Street which is littered with interesting shops and great places to eat. Viking Bay and Louisa Bay are less than 10 mins walk away. Kingsgate Bay and Joss Bay a five minute drive or leisurly 20min walk along the delightful Stone Road. If you time the tides right, you can walk along the beach all the way from Stone Bay to Margate!

The South East England / Kent region

Located on the south east tip of Kent, Broadstairs offers a plethora of potential to holidaymakers. For those who like a boat trip there are nearby daily ferries to Ostend and Calais. For the golfer numerous award winning courses within a short drive, including Sandwich and North Foreland (handicap certificate required at certain courses). Families are treated to over 26miles of glorious golden sandy beaches. History hungry holidaymakers can feast on the delights of Deal, Dover Castle and the historic town of Canterbury - all accessible within an hours drive.

The bustling harbour of Ramsgate is a 5min drive, Margate 15mins drive. Both offer regular summer events ranging from Watersports weekends to Red Devils displays.

The Broadstairs area

Broadstairs is considered to be the jewel in Thanet's crown, a very special place in 'The Garden of England'. A charming seaside town with a host of fabulous family friendly activities. For activities for children go to www.thanetkids.co.uk

Throughout the summer months, the ever popular Viking bay hosts daily Punch and Judy shows, Donkey rides and offers a small Victorian carousel and swing park. Nestled behind Viking Bay is a crazy golf course, suitable for both children and adults.

The family style Stone Bay has fantastic rock pools, a small cafe and holds a prestigious blue flag award.

When the weather is inclement, there's Revolution skate park with a climbing centre and surf school which offers day courses for children from as young as 3yrs. Learn to board, ski, climb, or scoot with the professionals in a safe and fun environment.

Joss Bay also holds a blue flag award. The coast here has some of the best waves in the area so its no surprise it also has its own surf school. Kayaks can be hired.

The Viking Coastal trail is a fabulous cycle route from Minnis Bay to Pegwell Bay. Bikes can easily be hired and you can either opt for a day of cycling or a shorter ride along the coast.

Westwood Cross shopping centre (5mins from centre of Broadstairs) offers great shopping with Topshop, Marks and Spencer, TK Max, HMV, Waterstones and several good family style restaurants such as Ask Pizzeria and Nandos. There's also a large Vue multiplex cinema adjacent to Westwood, although Broadstairs itself boasts a tiny the charming cinema the Palace which only closes on Christmas Day.

For the more mature holidaymaker, there are numerous walks and day trips in and around the area.

With the Dickins Festival (June), Folk Week (August) there really is something for everyone....not to mention some of the best fish and chips in the land.

High Speed Trains to Broadstairs run from Kings Cross London. Journey time is 1hr 22mins.
High Speed Trains to Broadstairs from Ashford - which links to Paris and Brussels.
Standard Trains to Broadstairs run from London stations - Charing Cross, Victoria and Cannon Street.
Travel times vary between 2 and 2 1/2hrs. National Rail enq. 08457 484 950.

National Express Coaches travel from London Victoria.

Coaches take approx 3hrs.

If traveling from Gatwick or Heathrow, take M25 in an anti clockwise direction, heading for M20. Take M20 to
junction 7 where you then take A249 to the M2, which turns into the A299 or Thanet Way. Please follow signs for Broadstairs and then the town centre or seafront. Drive through Broadstairs High Street, continuing up a small hill. The property is on the right, approximately 500m from the bottom of the High Street.

If traveling from the North of England, please take the M25 to junction 2 and continue until it becomes the M2. Then continue as in directions above.

Ferries from France arrive at Dover, which is a 45min drive away. Ramsgate is 5 min drive and is
the arrival/departure point for Ostend Ferries.

“A devine place to stay- we did not want to leave..” The apartment is fantastic it is perfect for a family of four. It is secluded with a car parking space which is essential. The site is ideal for walking into town and off to Stone bay. Our favourite side of town. Broadstairs is just a wonderful place with cafe's and restaurants to suit every taste. The ice cream at Chipinis was our favourite. We found great fossils at the end of stone bay and several hours were spent looking for crabs in the rock pools. The apartment has everything you need and we ate in many evenings comfortably. Book with confidence!!

“Highly recommend this apartment - stylish and great location.” I stayed here with my elderly, disabled mother and teenage daughter and we all had a fantastic time! This highly stylish and well equipped apartment was perfect for us all. Access for Mum's wheelchair was great (the level access shower being an added bonus) and my daughter, and her friend, had enough room for 'personal space' (ie gossiping) and they were please with the excellent Wi-Fi connection. Also, there is an abundance of (EXCELLENT) literature which, I thought, is a lovely touch. The apartment is deceptively spacious and spotlessly clean. Laura was a thoughtful and kind hostt: fruit and flowers on the table upon our arrival and, despite our late arrival, she was there to meet us. The fridge was also stocked with basics which meant we could go straight to dinner and worry about our food stuff the next day. I don't drive and definitely didn't need a car here. The beautiful sandy beaches are only a short stroll away, as is the town centre which offers great quality restaurants and bars. Although the apartment is located just off the main road, it is very peaceful and relaxing. All in all, a great place to stay and The Burrows are superb hosts!

“Home away from home” This apartment has become a home away from home for me and my family. Wonderfully located on the beach side of Broadstairs, close to all amenities. Clean, comfortable apartment with welcoming atmosphere. Easy access to surrounding areas and countryside. Owner is receptive to ensure a holiday maker is able to access all their needs to make an enjoyable holiday. Transport services within 15 minute walk away. Hiring a car enables you to explore Kent, the Garden of England countryside. Apartment is situated within walking distance to many restaurants and quaint shops to explore. Broadstairs is a friendly, leisurely must place to stop, which is complemented by this apartment.

“Fabulous!” The first thing we noticed was that the photos don't do the place justice, it's even better inside than it looks on the site. It's stylish and thoughtfully decorated (with the surprise bonus of a great selection of literature on the shelves). The owners were incredibly helpful and happy to share local knowledge. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to both Viking and Stone Bay beaches, and the town centre. The property also has off-street parking. Particularly good for families as there's lots of space, and the owners provided a cot, high chair and toys for our youngest. Very highly recommended.
