About the home

This is a comfortable, relaxed house ideally configured for one or two families wanting to enjoy the best seaside holiday that Kent has to offer.

A well-equipped 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house which is ideally suited for up to 6 adults and 4 children, or 8 adults. Located a stone's throw from the beautiful, Blue Flag sandy beach at Botany Bay, Broadstairs. The house has it's own outdoor swimming pool (8M by 4M ), garden and decked terrace with outdoor eating facilities for 10 people.

WHY NOT BOOK TO STAY FROM 14 - 21 JULY WHEN THE OLYMPIC TORCH WILL BE IN THE AREA - PASSING THROUGH RAMSGATE/ BROADSTAIRS AND MARGATE ON 19 JULY. WE STILL HAVE AVAILABILITY FOR THIS WEEK.

There is a large lounge, a well equipped kitchen and a separate dining room which also seats 10.

Fully refurbished and decorated in 2011.

Bed-linen and bath towels provided.

We aim to provide everything you need for a memorable sea-side holiday.

Wi-fi internet access, Wii, Blu-ray player.

A wood burning stove provides a cosy focal point in the lounge during the colder months.

Kingsgate is a quiet area on the very corner of Kent, with easy access to several great sandy beaches of varying character. Central Broadstairs is a short drive away, as is Margate, with the new Turner Contemporary museum and old town. Some local shops are nearby, and larger supermarkets are within easy reach by car.

Whilst the house is newly available as a holiday rental, we are experienced self-catering holiday providers in the Broadstairs area. Our other property has been a holiday rental since May 2007, and we have had many satisfied guests from all over the world and many return bookings. Facilities

Further details indoors:
The accommodation is on a single level (bungalow) - with maximum of 1 step between any internal rooms. The decked terrace is at the same level as the rooms. There are some steps from the decked area down to the garden and pool.

Facilities include TV with freesat, Blue-ray/DVD player, Wii, wifi internet access, books and games for children and adults.

Two bedrooms have 5 foot king sized beds, 1 bedroom has twin beds, 1 bedroom has 2 pairs of bunk beds.

There is another separate WC next to the family bathroom.

Further details outdoors:
The pool is 8M by 4M, with depth between 90cm and 1.7M. There are sun loungers for use around the pool.

There is a patio and barbecue, and outdoor tables and chairs for 10 people.

The driveway can take 2 cars, there is usually on street parking available as well (free).

The South East England / Kent region

Within a few miles of Broadstairs are the other interesting towns of Thanet, including Ramsgate, (with ferry services to Ostende), Margate, Sandwich and Deal. Further afield are the coastal towns of Dover and Folkestone with their excellent connections to the continent, Herne Bay and Whitstable and inland can be found rolling Kent countryside with villages as well as the wonderful city of Canterbury - a popular tourist attraction any time of the year.

The Broadstairs / Kingsgate area

Broadstairs is a historic town on the Kent Coast, approximately 70 miles from London, which has been a popular resort for almost 200 years. Charles Dickens stayed for extended periods, and the excellent Dickens House museum shows how Broadstairs and its people were represented in some of his novels.
With 7 different sandy beaches within a short distance and a host of attractions it makes the perfect location for a family beach holiday. The beaches are:

Botany Bay
Kingsgate Bay
Joss Bay
Stone Bay
Viking Bay
Louisa Bay
Dumpton Gap.
Stone Bay is a European Blue Flag 2007 award winning beach.

Many of these have rock pools at low-tide.

- Drive to Broadstairs - the town is 70 miles (120km) from London by road, less than a 2 hour drive on good roads. Follow the M2/ A299 dual carriageway until the last 4 miles.

- Several Ferry ports are within easy reach including Ramsgate (9km away - ferry service from Ostende) or Dover (38km away - ferry service from Calais, Boulogne or Dunkerque).

- or take the Eurotunnel from Calais to Folkestone (57km/ 55 minute drive)

- Or arrive by train: Regular trains run from London St Pancras (1 hour 20 mins) London Victoria (1 hour 50 mins) or London Charing Cross (2 hours 20) to Broadstairs amd Margate stations, both of which are a short drive from the house.

- By Air: Kent International Airport is the closest airport, approx 11km away.
Gatwick is approximately 85 miles (135 km). Fast trains run regularly from Gatwick to London Victoria, where you could connect with a train to Broadstairs. Alternatively, taxis could be arranged from this or other major airports.
Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports are all slightly further, but still feasible options.
