Facilities include a flat screen TV with freesat, wi-fi access, a mini hi-fi with IPOD docking station, DVD player, board games and some children's books and lego.
A travel cot and high chair can be provided if required. We do not have linen for the travel cot. Please bring this if needed.

Beach equipment is provided including portable folding chairs, a beach umbrella, a windbreak and toys for the beach.
Visitors parking permits for 1 car can be provided on request. Permits for 1 car can be supplied free of charge with every full-rate booking. Permits for additional cars can be supplied at cost price (currently £2 per day).

- A deposit of 25% of the rental amount is required to secure the booking
- A refundable damage and security deposit of £100 is payable which will be refunded following inspection, within 14 days of your departure
- Balance to be paid not less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date
- Cancellations within 8 weeks of arrival date will incur the full cost of the rental, with more than 8 weeks notice a 50% cancellation fee will be charged unless we can successfully re-let the property

Changeover day is normally a Saturday, but it may be possible to accommodate other days, so please ask.

The South East England / Kent region
Within a few miles of Broadstairs are the other interesting towns of Thanet, including Ramsgate, (with ferry services to Ostende), Margate, Sandwich and Deal. Further afield are the coastal towns of Dover and Folkestone with their excellent connections to the continent, Herne Bay and Whitstable and inland can be found rolling Kent countryside with villages as well as the wonderful city of Canterbury - a popular tourist attraction any time of the year.
The Broadstairs area
Broadstairs is a historic town on the Kent Coast, approximately 75 miles from London, which has been a popular resort for almost 200 years. Charles Dickens stayed for extended periods, and the excellent Dickens House museum shows how Broadstairs and its people were represented in some of his novels.
With 7 different sandy beaches within a short distance and a host of attractions it makes the perfect location for a family beach holiday. The beaches are:
Botany Bay
Kingsgate Bay
Joss Bay
Stone Bay
Viking Bay
Louisa Bay
Dumpton Gap.
Stone Bay is a European Blue Flag 2007 award winning beach.
Many of these have rock pools at low-tide.
Broadstairs hosts a number of themed weeks throughout the summer, including a celebration of Charles Dickens in June and a very popular Folk Week in August. There are regular firework displays during August.

- Drive to Broadstairs - the town is 75 miles (120km) from London by road, less than a 2 hour drive on good roads. Follow the M2/ A299 dual carriageway until the last 4 miles.
- Several Ferry ports are within easy reach including Ramsgate (6km away - ferry service from Ostende) or Dover (35km away - ferry service from Calais, Boulogne or Dunkerque).
- or take the Eurotunnel from Calais to Folkestone (57km/ 55 minute drive)
- Or arrive by train: Regular trains run from London St Pancras (1 hour 20 mins) London Victoria (1 hour 50 mins) or London Charing Cross (2 hours 20) to Broadstairs station, which is within a 10 minute walk of apartment.
- By Air: Kent International Airport is the closest airport, approx 8km away.
Gatwick is approximately 85 miles (135 km). Fast trains run regularly from Gatwick to London Victoria, where you could connect with a train to Broadstairs. Alternatively, taxis could be arranged from this or other major airports.
Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports are all slightly further, but still feasible options.

I booked to come back again in 2012 whilst I was staying there in 2011 - need I say more? I came with my son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren, and we all had our best holiday ever. Great location, beautifully furnished and equipped, a great deal of care and thought has obviously gone into making this the ideal holiday apartment. How soon can I book for 2013? |

We have had a lovely week in this great apartment! Our little girl Charlotte loved the fact that it’s so close to the beach. We’ve also been to Cantebury, the zoo and swimming in Ramsgate amongst other things. What a lovely part of the world!

Midweek Break. Father (66 yrs) and daughter (42 years). What a wonderful relief to enter the flat and find such agreeable accommodation!! We just love it and would definitely return. Dad came back to revisit youthful memories and I created new ones. Broadstairs is a wonderful, relaxed and friendly resort. We planned to venture away but liked it here too much to bother!!

It was a top holiday! Perfect weather, chilled and sunny, but dry. We did every day something else as very special day our visit to London by train (Buckingham, Harrods, Trafalgar and Big Ben).
The beach and sea around the corner, many tiny shops, some very kindly people in the church.
Maybe till next year, you never know!

Well well. Entirely in line with earlier entries, the flat is wonderful. Well appointed, sensibly laid out, extremely clean, nicely positioned, warm and comfortable. Matthew knew we had 2 boys (aged 8 and 6) and had researched local things to do – we loved the motorcycle racing at Margate. We took Hilary’s advice (21/9/08) and Morellis is unbeatable. Thai Four Two is local, friendly and extremely toothsome. Matthew and Lauren – you and the accommodation have been faultless before, during and after. Many thanks.

Had a lovely stay. The apartment’s location is fantastic and it is comfortable and cosy. Thank-you Lauren and Matthew for the wine and tea bags and for being the most efficient and organised emailers/ owners we’ve ever dealt with!
We would recommend The Albion for food/ nice place to sit and admire the view. If you’d like a 2-3 hour walk you can go along the coast to Ramsgate in one direction (have to avoid beach when tide in) or to North Foreland in the other (spectacular views and very expensive houses!)

A truly fantastic week!
The apartment is fantastic! Broadstairs has been a childhood memory for me and its been brilliant bringing my own 3 children here for a whole week. The time with them, in such wonderful surroundings has been priceless!
The weather has been very kind, plenty to eat and drink and my mom and dad even managed to pop down to see us!
