"Lovely house, great location"

We booked at reasonably short notice and the owner was very prompt responding to our enquiry and very accomodating for our not-quite-a-week length of stay. The house is in a great location just 5 min… More

"Great house and location"

I really enjoyed staying at Sunlit House with some friends for a long weekend. Its location is really good, in a quiet cul de sac only a short stroll from the high street and the beach. The house wa… More

"Lovely stay in Broadstairs over a [rare] sunny bank holiday"

We've just returned from a fantastic bank holiday weekend at Sunlit House with friends. There was a group of 6 of us, with 2 on the sofa bed (who seemed happy enough!) and the place didn't o… More

"Loved the house, loved Broadstairs!"

Arrived at the house tired from a long journey with the children, but as soon as we sat down, we relaxed. The house has a really nice atmosphere about it and the views from the back windows give it a spacious feel.
Everything we needed was provided including a cot, high chair, baby spoons and other baby bits - we don't use bottles, but I noticed there was even a bottle warmer available.
It's a very short and pleasant walk into Broadstairs, which is probably lovely in good weather. Unfortunately, it wasn't so great while we were there, but there were plenty of lovely cafes, restaurants and bars close by so we dodged rain showers and made the most of it!
There is a lovely soft play centre nearby called Helter Skelter which is much nicer than the big ones we're used to. There are lots of leaflets and flyers in a folder in the house with recommendations of local places.
The house has a main bathroom with a shower (no bath) and an additional toilet next to it which is great with small children who suddenly need the toilet NOW!
The main bedroom is bright and comfortable and has a clock radio as well as a large wardrobe and bedside cabinets and lamps. The second bedroom has two single beds, another large wardrobe and bedside cabinets, lamps and a clock radio. There was also a hairdryer! Towels are provided and so is bed linen (although not for the cot). The house was very warm with central heating throughout and heated up quickly.
There were puzzles, books and DVDs for adults and children provided too.
I really couldn't think of anything that was missing from the house and would love to come back one day if the weather ever gets better! The kids would love the beach as it's massive and sandy.

"Great stay at Sunlit House"

Very clean, comfortable, and convenient for the beach and plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Stayed with 2 young children, (2 adults). Great facilities - excellent kitchen, comfy beds, good size lounge. Wish the weather had been warmer and we would have been able to take advantage of the lovely garden too. Thanks for good stay.
