The Isle of Thanet region
Kent is known as 'the garden of England' for the quality of its homegrown produce, but much more than that, offers diverse activities for visitors.
Explore historic Canterbury with its cathedral, city walls, restaurants, theatres and great shopping.
Dover Castle is a fantastic day trip for families, both only 30 minutes from Broadstairs by car. Leeds Castle, and Deal and Walmer castles are also within easy reach, as is Whitstable where you can feast on local seafood, fresh off the boats.
Broadstairs is on the High Speed Rail Link to London - with a direct link to Stratford International station, we are perfectly placed to visit London and the new shopping/entertainment centers at the old Olympic site.
Kent has great transport links to London and mainland Europe, with making it the perfect starting point for a visit to England or abroad.
Broadstairs is situated on the tip of the East Kent coast, nestling between Ramsgate and Margate and boasts no fewer than seven sandy beaches. Locals believe that Broadstairs has its own microclimate, and is officially one of the sunniest and driest parts of the country!
Broadstairs has a seafaring past and is today a charming and unspoilt seaside resort - many remnants of our Victorian heritage can be found throughout the town. During the summer months, Viking Bay attracts families for its old-fashioned funfair and swingboats, punch and judy shows and fireworks displays, while neighbouring Stone Bay has fantastic rock pools. Nearby Joss Bay has some of the best waves in the area, with its own surf school and kayaks for hire.
When you're ready to leave the beach, Broadstairs offers many other attractions - the Palace Cinema, one of England's smallest with just 112 seats, mini golf, Helter Skelter, an indoor play centre for children under 8, Morelli's, an original 1950's ice cream parlour and many independent and quirky shops.
Older children will love Revolution, an indoor skatepark for skateboards, rollerblades and BMX. Why not learn about Charles Dickens' love of Broadstairs at the Dickens House museum? Westwood Cross retail park offers great shopping with stores such as TKMaxx, Debenhams, Monsoon, HMV, TopShop and Marks and Spencer, a multiplex cinema, casino and restaurants. Apartment Veranda is situated above Changes Hair and Beauty – the perfect place for a bit of holiday pampering: www.changes-spa.co.uk
We love festivals here - Broadstairs' folk festival takes place in August each year, the town comes alive with folk music in every bar and morris dancers on every corner. Find out more at www.broadstairsfolkweek.org.uk
Broadstairs fourth annual food festival will take place in October 2012 and is a showcase for the best that Kent has to offer, with demonstrations by renowned local chefs, free tastings and stalls by local producers. We also host an annual Dickens festival each June celebrating Broadstairs' most famous visitor, with a water gala during the summer holidays.
Walk to Ramsgate along the coastal path to visit England's only Royal Harbour, with great waterfront bars, restaurants and cafes, or walk the Pugin trail to explore the venerated architect's work. The Turner Contemporary art gallery is now open on Margate's seafront with exhibitions by JMW Turner and Tracey Emin during 2012. Margate's Old Town is quickly becoming a mecca for fans of vintage and retro clothes, furniture, contemporary design and cupcakes, with independent shops opening all the time! Cycle the Viking Trail from Minnis Bay to Pegwell Bay to explore our unspoilt coastline and nature reserves.

"Perfect flat in incredible location"
This was our second stay in this lovely flat and we fully intend to return again. It is clean, spacious, and superbly located right next to the beach and all amenities. Contact with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

This apartment/house is in a perfect location especially with young children as you are right by the beach and all amenities are literally right on your doorstep. The owner was only a phonecall away if we needed anything. The rental was very clean and comfortable. Broadstairs was new to us and I travelled alone with 2 young children and would definitely do it again!

"Great location and lots to do"
This is a great apartment to rent if you want to explore Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate (without having to take a car). William was great at commnication and the apartment is central to everything you want. Broadstairs has some great bars to visit and you can walk to Ramsgate and Margate. The sauna and jacuzzi bath were an added bonus espeically after a long walk. Would recomment this holiday rental to anyone. Thank you William.

"Wonderful stay beside the beach"
We travelled to Broadstairs on the long weekend of Jubilee. Didnt know much about the place but managed to find out this place from the internet and called the owner. The rates seemed to be quite reasonable and the owner seemed to be quite helpful and understanding. On our arrival, we received a warm welcome from the owner. A very homely welcome, although extremely professional. The apartment is new and nicely refurbished. The points worthnoting: > There is a direct Seaview from the balcony > There is provisions for barbeque > There is a sauna bath separately built for the visitors. > Jacuzzi present in the bath tub. > Spacious bedrooms > spacious Living rooms. > Good food available close by. > movie CD/DVD, Games, cartoon CDs present Our stay was enchanting since this place was wonderful. I loved the apartment and we enjoyed a lot in there. Can have some added points: Living room - Some indoor games Bathrooms - Some toiletries like soaps and shampoo. Everything else about the apartment was just awesome. Regarding the parking: There is no parking for the apartment itself. Although there is a very big BINGO park available where you can pay and park overnight for a charge of £ 7.00. This park is just seconds walk from the apartment. All in all, this is a very nice place to stay and chill out. Thanks a lot to the owner for being courteous and helpful in all aspects. the apartment was perfect and excellent and exceeded all my expectations. I would look forward to re-visit and re-rent the same place, Thanks Partha > some
Thanks for your kind words. I have ordered a cupboard for the living room to store more board games, children’s books and toys. All of the sinks had liquid soap for hand washing and I am purchasing shampoo dispensers for the showers. Glad you liked our place and look forward to seeing you again.

"Great location, perfect accommodation. A real gem of a property"
The apartment was a real treat. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and nothing has been left out. The property was spotless and really well kitted out with great facilities, the highlights being the sauna area, the jacuzzi bath and the walk in shower. There is a tv in all rooms for rainy mornings, and even a selection of games for the playstation2. It is situated in a great location in Broadstairs with three or four great cafes and restaurants very close by. A warm and friendly attitude from the owner made the bookings process easy and he was flexible with dates that we wanted. Have already recommended to friends & family, even the picky ones would love it!
Thanks for our first review and for recommending us to your friends & family, glad you had a nice stay. Bill.
