Haroldston Lodge arguably ticks every possible box on a holiday-maker's wish list. Nestled within approximately 130 acres of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park- recently voted by the prestigious National Geographic Magazine as one of the most desirable coastal locations in the entire world - and only a mile of off-road pathway away from the sublime, blue-flag rated Broadhaven beach, this single-storey, three-bedroomed lodge offers the prospect of a fantastic self-catering holiday. The lodge is pet-friendly, has Wi-Fi connectivity throughout, off-road parking for two cars and a trailer and its large windows ensure the interior is always flooded with natural light. Guests will undoubtedly be unable to resist the urge to congregate on the veranda straddling the front of the property which enjoys a lovely outlook over nearby otter ponds. The lodge is one of 44 lodges which share the enormous expanse of award winning parkland with just one other holiday property. Guests have access to an excellent range of on-site facilities which include a well-stocked fishing reservoir, launderette, shop and lovely children's play area. Haroldston Lodge offers the chance, if desired, to leave the car unused for the duration of the holiday and to simply lose oneself in some of the most beautiful coast and countryside to be found in the whole of the UK.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

This is an area of mountains, sea and national park and somewhere that has been attracting holidaymakers for many years. Pembrokeshire Coast national Park in the south west is a favourite holiday destination, with miles of coastal footpaths and wonderful seascapes; lots of Blue Flag beaches and seas rich in marine life. Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. No matter where you choose your never too far away from mountains and the sea and of course there is the thriving cities of Cardiff and Swansea to visit, where you'll find lots of first class shops, cafes and restaurants.

Broad Haven

The nearby beach at Broadhaven with its sweeping, seemingly endless expanse of sun-kissed sand is a must to visit and also offers several prestigious food and drink outlets. Bird-watchers should make the brief eight mile journey to Martin's Haven from where boat trips can be taken to the Skomer Island bird and nature reserve. The wildlife here is spectacular and more than likely will include the ever popular dolphin. For that special holiday treat visitors are strongly recommended to sample the excellent wining and dining and amazing cliff-top vistas to be enjoyed on the terrace of the highly regarded Druidstone Hotel, which is perched above the lovely coastline of Druidstone Haven. Holidays in Pembrokeshire bring with them the perhaps unique problem of where to go and what to see. With so much on offer and so little time, guests need to plan wisely. To the north for example, lies the beautiful cathedral city of St Davids. This is officially designated as the smallest city in the UK but with a full and varied events programme and a gorgeous streetscape it is definitely worth a visit. History lovers should take the time to swing south-eastwards and visit the majestic and awe-inspiring Pembroke Castle, birthplace of King Henry VII. This is a fantastic visitor attraction. In addition to its full and varied programme of events, children will love exploring its warren of tunnels and passages. The popular holiday town of Pembroke is also a must for visitors new to the area. It has a daunting range of amenities for tourists and is a real holiday hotspot. Pembrokeshire is of course sublime country for walkers with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for example, providing seascape and cliff-top views that are arguably the best in Britain. The region has holiday attractions and activities in abundance including nature reserves, theme parks, zoos and there's even a vineyard! Visitors to Pembrokeshire are seldom satisfied with one trip and usually return time after time.
