Quayview occupies the entire third floor of the Fisherman's Loft building, situated on Brixham's inner harbour. It overlooks the Golden Hind replica and has interrupted and ever-changing views of the harbour and out to sea beyond. The central position means that it is very convenient for exploring Brixham with its many cafes, restaurants, shops and the fish market a short walk away. It is also an ideal base for numerous different walks, around the harbour and along the breakwater, along the coast to Fishcombe Cover or towards Berry Head and longer walks along the South West Coastal Path. There is a nice shingle beach within walking distance and a sandy beach at Broadsands a couple of miles away.
The apartment is light, comfortable and roomy, with plenty to do and see at all times of year. It has one double bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite shower room and a second twin bedroom which makes it ideal for couples or families. The large living and dining area overlooks the harbour so meals can be eaten watching the activity below or at night enjoying the lights of the town and out to sea.

The parking space is a good size but the road you approach it from is fairly narrow, which makes the turning circle quite tight. This is usually not a problem for small and medium sized cars. We have had longer cars - the longest being 4.8 metres - use it, but with the longer car it would probably be necessary to have direction from a passenger to get on and off the space.
We ask for a deposit of £100 to secure the booking.with the remainder due eight weeks before the start of the holiday.
The West Country / Devon region
Devon is renowned for its mixture of natural beauty, safe beaches, and popular visitor attractions. South Devon, encompassing Torbay and the South Hams enjoys a mild climate, hence the name the English Riviera. As well as beautiful rolling countryside, more dramatic moorland scenery, wonderful coastal walks along the South West Coastal Path, there are many picturesque towns and villages offering a real variety of experience.
The Brixham area
Brixham is a picturesque and bustling fishing port at the southern end of Torbay. Quayview is well placed for exploring Brixham, which has a good range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and there are many lovely walks in the area. Berry Head National Nature Reserve with its stunning views is a thirty minute walk. The South West Coastal Parth runs through Brixham so can be explored in both directions and there are also beautiful walks nearby along the River Dart. There is a sandy beach at Broadsands.
The towns of Dartmouth, Paignton and Torquay can be easily reached by ferry, bus or car and the National Park of Dartmoor is only twenty miles away. There are two National Trust properties within a few miles - Agatha Christie's former holiday home Greenway House with its extensive grounds and gardens beside the river Dart and Coleton Fishacre, an art deco style house with a valley garden leading down towards the sea.

We thought this apartment was absolutely gorgeous. It had everything you would need and it was all top quality. The view was superb - my grandaughter loved looking at the "pirate ship". There are plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Lots of things to do in the area. We would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our week in this apartment very much.
The apartment is lovely and clean and upon arrival we immediately relaxed and started to unwind. It was very well equipped and the extras (filter coffee, teas, biscuits and toiletries etc) were a lovely touch. The views across the harbour were fantastic, and there were some lovely walks around the surrounding area.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.
