Situated close to the waters edge with stunning sea views and with its own private garden. Through the garden gate there is access to the coastal footpath and Brixham's outdoor sea water swimming pool. There is no charge for the use of the pool. Berryhead Country Park is just a few minutes walk away. The cottage is in a quiet location situated just beyond the Marina and Breakwater towards Berry Head. The cottage is beautifully appointed,extremely light, spacious and stylish. Large double aspect sitting room, dining room, kitchen and wet room are on the ground floor. There are 2 double bedrooms sharing a family bathroom and also a master double bedroom with an en suite. There is a double sofa bed in the dining room

Large well appointed high spec kitchen with up to date equipment and sufficient cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment etc for up to 8 persons and a wonderful view. Dining room has large table to seat up to 8 also with the same fantastic view. Off the dining room there is a wet room/cloakroom.
Sitting room has dual aspect windows, 2 very large sofas, reading chair ,coffee tables, lamps , a Bose' Music system and a 40" screen Plasma TV. a lovely old fireplace and of course that stunning view. Bring your laptop as there is internet connection via Wi-fi. From the sitting room there is a door which leads out on to the terrace,with table and chairs and yes with a wonderful view.

On the terrace there is a large table where you can enjoy alfresco dining, The garden below the terrace is lawned and there is a gate at the bottom which gives immediate access to the waterfront and the Shoalstone outdoor pool. In the garden there is a whirlygig foldaway clothes line.
There is off road parking for 2 cars and the front garden is a patio with raised beds.
A short walk away is the Berry Head Hotel which has a fully licensed bar and restaurant for non-residents.
They too have the same great view. Around the Marina, harbour and Fore Street area of Brixham you will find many good restaurants and cafes. Brixham is a fishing port and famous for fish and shellfish.

Bookings in Peak Weeks (July/August) normally run from Saturday to Saturday. Should you require a different arrival and departure day please ask. It may be possible to accommodate you.

Brixham has lot to offer its visitors with hundred years of maritime history, which can be seen in the Heritage Museum or watch the modern and historic boats moored in the harbour or the 500 berth marina.
Dartmouth famous for its Royal Naval College and attractive historic town is situated a few miles away.
Drive to Kingswear from Brixham and take the ferry across to Dartmouth. Very short crossing, just a few minutes.

7 of us (me and hubby, my parents, our 17 yr old son, and 21 yr old son with his partner and baby) along with our dog Sutty, stayed at Waterfront Cottage over New Year 2011/12. We had 5 days that went far too quickly. The house is bright, modern and airy with plenty of space for doing your own thing when staying with varied ages of family. The kitchen area was big and social, the lounge saw plenty of board games being played and the views from the rear windows over the bay - well what can i say but fantastic. Location is great, a 10 min walk along the coast walk to the town, Brixham is delightful even out of season it was very busy and most shops were open. What a wonderful way to see in a New Year. We would deffinately do it again. |
