You can learn about the town’s maritime history in the Heritage Museum or simply watch the numerous boats coming and going. Brixham has one of the largest working fishing ports in the country, adding to the nautical activity.
There is much more to see and do in Brixham, including the seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone, woodland walks at Churston, and the Napoleonic Fort and Country Park at Berry Head. This nature reserve forms part of the South West Coast Path with breathtaking views along the coastline.
