Cottage / 2 bedrooms / sleeps 4
A unique and quirky triangular shaped detached cottage in its own grounds, Cliff Cottage has that undeniable WOW factor. The new owners have totally refurbished the property during 2012 including new windows, heating system, shower room, carpets, beds, soft furnishings and a complete re-decoration.
This surprisingly spacious cottage has been built to make the most of its detached plot of land and the stunning views it enjoys over the harbour and coastline. It is conveniently situated just a few minutes’ walk from the harbour and town centre.
The cottage benefits from a balcony off the living area at the front of the property which makes an ideal place to sit and watch the boats go by. Both bedrooms also have spectacular sea views. There is also a small lawned garden that surrounds the property with furniture and views across the harbour and an outbuilding for storage.
Please note: The vehicle access for unloading is approximately 30 metres from the entrance to the property.

The English Riviera region
Why is Devon one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK? - Wonderful coast and countryside, mild year round climate, abundance of fresh locally produced food and drink, clean air, friendly locals, cream teas and countless activities for young and old alike. That's just a few reasons why!
What ever your age or interest there is an amazing variety of things to see and do in and around Brixham. Kids love to explore the local rock pools, play on the beaches, swim in the clear waters, catch crabs from the harbour side and dress as pirates on Pirate Thursdsays. There are lovely coastal walks, fishing, sailing, diving, swimming, coasteering round Berry Head (for the adventurous) and a host of other maritime pursuits. Land lubbers can enjoy visiting Agatha Christies home at Greenway or other National Trust properties such as Coleton Fishacre or simply enjoying a beer or cup of tea from a favourite harbour side pub, cafe or restaurant.

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage. We are always looking to improve things and feedback is helpful. I have finally tracked down the bits I need for the wobbly toilet seat but thank you for letting me know.
We would love to have you back.

"A lovely house with incompetent, accusational and insensitive owners"
Brixham Cliff Cottage ReviewA lovely house with incompetent, accusational and insensitive ownersMy wife and I love Brixham harbour and have visited many, many times over the last twenty years. We hav… More
I have waited a number of days before responding to this review. It is difficult to remain professional when replying to a review such as this but professional I must remain. Though I do have to say that to call two people you have never met Incompetent , Accusational and Insensitive is more of a character assassination than a review. We run a guest house in Brixham and have more than 250 reviews from people who have stayed with us and none of them have mentioned these particular traits.
Let me first say no accusation was ever made. It is a worry when you find curtains in a cottage that you own to have burn holes in them and I believe anybody would want to know how it happened. My wife simply asked if they had noticed the burn marks and did they know anything that could help. The man started to shout down the phone so my wife said you obviously can't help and hung up. He rang back and I picked up the phone.
I tried to have a rational conversation with him but all he did was shout. When he finally calmed down enough for me to be able to talk I tried to explain to him that we were just trying to find out what had happened. I told him we were not accusing him but he just started to rant again. I tried to offer him an apology several times , even though I thought one should not have been necessary , but he would have none of it. In answer to a simple question I found his reaction to be extreme.
Sir you protesteth too much!!!
The other issues he had with regard to the cottage are being addressed and it is a pity that he has decided to deny himself the wonderful experience of staying at Cliff Cottage again.

Hi Sue. We are so happy that you enjoyed the cottage. Thank you very much for the wonderful comments in the guest book. Unfortunately we do not have a facility for recycling as yet but we are trying to get it sorted with the council. We appreciate that you left your recyclables to one side and we took them down to our place and put them in the proper bins.
We would love to have you stay at Cliff Cottage again.
All the very best,
Paul & Gill.

This was a nice cottage with great views and the good points stop there . The cottage is situated on top of some very steep steps, which made access very difficult. I booked the cottage on the owners … More
I have to say that I am all for reviews but only when they are done on an entirely honest basis. The cottage is situated in an elevated position but it is this situation that provides the amazing views. We have had many guests , some of whom were quite elderly , and access was no problem.
My web site says that there is a fireplace. There is no mention of an open fire and there has never been a log burner. A log fire would be very nice but it could also have it's dangers. The cottage is extremely well insulated and has a brand new boiler and radiators.
There is no mention of parking permits on my web site.
I advertise my property on Brixham Holiday Homes. They mention that there is a feature fireplace. No mention of a log burner.
It also clearly states that a parking permit is included during the Summer Months. The reason being that from October to the end of April there is ample FREE Parking on the streets which are just minutes from the cottage. This stay was in the month of October and was for 4 nights. All of the street parking near the cottage would have been free.
And to the last point. I did phone the lady. I started off by asking her if she had had a nice stay and she said it had been wonderful and that the cottage was lovely and they had really enjoyed themselves. We do not expect the cottage to be scrubbed down before people leave but we do expect it to be left tidy. I asked the lady why it had not been left so( I will not go into detail). She said they had left in a hurry. I said a note or a call to this effect would have been appreciated. The lady became irate and I simply said she would not be welcome at Cliff Cottage in the future.
I was certainly not rude nor did I become angry.
