Birxham is a Fishing Port of great Historical interest it is know as the mother port of Fishing being part of Torbay, also known as The English Riviera, which incorporates Torquay to the north, Paignton and Brixham. With many fine safe beaches & coves.
Brixham area
Brixham is a traditional and working fishing town built on several hills overlooking the town. Nearby is Berry Head Country Park, a headland that forms the southern most point of the bay. It is a clifftop area which offers spectacular views over the whole bay.
A great tourist attraction is a replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship the Golden Hind, which is permanently docked here. also there is a fine open air seawater swiming pool in Brixham many Coves. Watersports.
