This historic building has been expertly modernised throughout with neutral décor, lighting, and all new luxury furniture and fittings.

Your holiday apartment spans the entire 2nd (top) floor and in addition to the panoramic views, also benefits from dramatic vaulted ceilings to most rooms, making it feel even lighter and more spacious.

The owners are resident in harbour area (we run Harbour View B&B on the opposite side of the harbour) so are on hand to welcome you and help you get the most from your holiday.

The English Riviera region

Devon is famous for its beautiful countryside and mild climate.

Lovely unspoilt coastline, natural landscapes, and of course cream teas are what makes Devon special. It has lots to offer including historical attractions like the homes of Sir Francis Drake and Agatha Christie, or for natural history fans you can take a trip down to the Jurassic Coast. There are also festivals galore, including Regattas, Heritage Weeks, Steam Fairs, and activities such as Golf, Sailing, Power Boat Rides, Quad Biking or a trek along the South West Cost Path.


Life in Brixham primarily revolves around the sea, so for all you water lovers there are plenty of opportunities to get your feet wet. Boat trips to Torquay & Dartmouth, fishing, sailing, scuba diving, canoeing, swimming and sunbathing are all right on your doorstep.

For those who would prefer to stay firmly on dry land there is a huge variety of activities and places to visit including spectacular walks to suit all abilities be it coastal or parkland. Play a round of golf at nearby Churston Golf Club, or why not just watch the world go by with a pint of beer or a cup of tea from your favourite harbour side pub or restaurant? Of course you can also buy shellfish from the stalls around the harbour, eat fish & chips from the paper or dine in some of the very fine fish reataurants in town.

In spite of its picturesque ‘pretty as a postcard’ feel, the historic port of Brixham is one of the busiest commercial fishing ports in England. Every day dozens of trawlers unload their catch of squid, crabs, lobster, muscles & plaice. Much of the bounty is brought by local restaurants and the rest heads for top hotels and restaurants in London and the Continent. Visitors can view the hustle and bustle of activity and the fish market from an elevated platform on the harbour side.

Many of the harbour side pubs are full of local fishermen who are never shy about sharing a few tales with visitors. Because it is a real working port, Brixham has avoided becoming a quaint, twee tourist trap.

"Superlative all round"

My wife, my daughter and I spent a week's break in this delightful apartment. Our daughter who is 1.2 years old, was mesmerized by the view, spending long stretches sat next to the low-lying windows, viewing the activities in the harbour - of course we did the same. Brixham is an interesting place: good fish, nice walks, brilliant locals, quaint streets, colourful houses .... full of character - the apartment complements the Brixham feel since it's packed full of character - I highly commend you have a taste!

"Clearly provided by someone who cares about your stay."

Impressed from the moment of arrival, spacious, clean and well maintained. My wife and I treated her elderly parents to this break, they were not disapointed, for once we got what was on the web site. The appartment offers beautiful views accross the harbour to the front and absolute peace for sleeping to the rear. The only negative would be for anyone likely to have difficutly with the stairs up to the flat. The owners have clearly given some thought as to how much of your holiday time will be spent, wifi is a given but my father in law would have happily spent his days just reviewing the book collection with games, films, and music equally well supplied. Brixham is a beautiful village and well located for visiting other places, I was initially concerned about parking but it's just a short walk from the flat to the Marina car park via the waterfront, this car park has security cameras but a cheery local assured me that car crime was very rare in any case.

"Very well-appointed accommodation in a great central location"

The self-catering accommodation lived up to our expectations. All tastefully appointed and a great range of music and reading material with which to relax after dinner. Central location made for convenient evenings out and a good base for visits further afield

"Fantastic apartment"

We had a brilliant stay at 12 The Quay. It was easy to pick up the keys at the coffee shop next door. It's an upstairs flat so access is via a flight of stairs which give you no indication of how lovely the apartment is. It is obvious that the owners take pride in its presentation and cleanliness. Their communications and directions were first class. The bedrooms are comfortable and all the rooms are light and airy with picture windows and large velux windows. The jewel of the apartment is the lounge that overlooks the harbour. I could have sat for hours people and boat watching. Should you be unfortunate enough to have bad weather there is a large and diverse collection of books together a smart TV and sound system to keep you occupied. Being in the heart of Brixham there is a multitude of restaurants to chose from. I would definately return.

"Fantastic Views and Perfect Central Location"

We really enjoyed our stay at 12 The Quay, it was a lovely spacious airy appartment with great views over the Brixham harbour and a number of lovely restaurants only a few steps away, which was great as it meant no driving in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and found lots to do in the local area with our 2 year old.
