Built in the time of Louis XIV, the château is set in unspoilt countryside with open views, and it surveys its 13 hectare demesne from a plateau in central France that overlooks a countryside dotted with lakes.
Perfect for families with small children, the château stands in a large garden surrounded by open countryside, with a swimming pool (fenced for safety), a patch of woodland and a brook. There is something for every age, from absorbing the beauty of nature from atop a horse or bicycle in the local byways.

There are four bathrooms with efficient showers and baths, and a constant supply of hot water.
Eight individually decorated bedrooms can accommodate up to 15 people. Five are large, and there are many sleigh beds ideal for one or two children. Extra camp beds are available if needed. The bedrooms - all of which enjoy superb views - are beautifully decorated and furnished with antiques and family heirlooms that form part of the heritage of the château.
There is a dining room with seating for 24 persons.

The Limousin / Auvergne / Cantal region
The Dordogne Valley is well worth exploring with its caves, numerous fascinating villages and châteaux, and a ruined medieval fortress. The famous caves of Lascaux are one hour drive away. Ninety minutes will bring you to the ski resorts in the mountains of the Massif Central.
The Brive / St Privat area
The summer season is a great time for local cultural events such as concerts and performances, including a film, music and art festival held in a nearby chateau during the latter part of July.
Timetables listing markets and fairs can be obtained from the local tourist office. Those looking for gastronomic delights will find numerous restaurants serving local delicacies such as truffles, cassoulet, walnuts, confit de canard, foie gras and Cabecou cheese. The château has a guide to all the best restaurants available to guests.
Borrow a bicycle from the château and visit the nearby lake, its beach supervised by lifeguards. Here you can hire a boat or play tennis, and relax after wards in the small restaurant.
