Located right on The Strawberry Line Heritage Trail - an 8 mile long level path, which was the old railway line now used as a walkway/cycleway from Yatton to Cheddar [www.n-somerset.gov.uk/Transport/Travel/Cycling/strawberryline.htm].
An ideal base for visiting Cheddar, Bath, Wells, Glastonbury, Weston-super-mare, Clevedon, Portishead and Bristol.

Sandford is nestled on the edge of The Mendips. The Mendip Hills (commonly called the Mendips) is a range of limestone hills to the south of Bristol and Bath in Somerset, England. Running east to west between Weston-super-Mare and Frome, the hills overlook the Somerset Levels to the south and the Avon Valley to the north.
Situated mid-way between Bristol and Weston-super-mare, on the famous Strawberry Line, Sandford is ideally positioned for a walking, cycling or climbing type break. Just down the road from Avon Ski Centre. Ideal location if going to a wedding at Coombe Lodge.

After 2 miles, turn left into Mead Lane, just after Sandford Station Retirement Village on your left. Appleton House is the first property on the left in Mead Lane.

Wonderful cottage/apartment with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. Very nicely furnished, clean, and well maintained. The owners provided everything we needed as required and had a wonderful, relaxing getaway prepared. I would definitely stay there again. Great location near Bristol, Cardiff, Bath, and Cheddar Gorge at a fair price. I strongly recommend it if you are able to book "The Annex" for your next getaway. Thanks Tim! We stayed at the annexe as we were attending a wedding at Coombe lodge in Blagdon. We needed somewhere that was stress-free as it was our first trip away with our newborn baby. This place was perfect. The property was very clean, nicely decorated and warm. It was fully equipped with everything we needed&had ample parking space.
