Pritchard Street
About the home
An extremely pleasant and privately owned new studio apartment, literally three minutes level walk from Cabot Circus, Bristol's flagship £500 million leisure and shopping development.
Excellent value at £70.00 inclusive per night. Reduction for full week or more.
The cost for a single weekend night booking this year I have had to sensibly increase to a fully inclusive £80.00 because of the servicing costs before and after for the sake of one night - but it always means an immaculately clean property, bedding and towels etc all of which guests appreciate.
Very close to the City Centre and yet amazingly within a quiet setting surrounded my modern buildings.
The studio is on the lower ground floor of a very modern and tasteful apartment block and is accessed through its own outside private entrance via the secure open air car park at the rear of the building (nine easy outside steps down). This car park is exclusive to apartment owners and is available at £10.00 per twenty four hour period or part thereof.
Spacious and well set out, the studio benefits from a comprehensively equipped kitchen and a roomy en suite shower and WC. Quality fittings. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy in the knowledge that so many amenities are on the doorstep. Excellent free wi-fi connection, an ipod player and a wall mounted flatscreen TV (freeview).
Essentially this is an apartment for two although it is also suitable for a couple with a young child.
It is light, airy and very comfortable. As it is effectively slightly below ground level, the views from the window are somewhat limited - that is just a feature of this quite delightful apartment.
Such a good alternative to and much more competitively priced than a hotel. As an example, the nearby Holiday Inn advertises from £89.50 a night but in reality charges well in excess of £100.00 for a basic room only! The apartment of course has more freedom and flexibility over what you do & when. All the privacy you want.
This apartment can offer you exactly what you need, with the security of a home, the practicality of a central location, and modern comforts.
For stays of three nights or more at the advertised rate, a complimentary welcome starter pack of basic food items - milk, juice, tea, coffee, fruit, wine and fresh flowers etc will await guests on their arrival.
Quality fresh bed linen and towels. Spotlessly clean apartment.
For those guests who are taking short breaks of just a night or two, a similar complimentary welcome starter pack can be made available at an additional cost of £15.00.
It is possible to have your own private and very secure parking space within the confines of the apartment block and this costs an extra £10.00 for each twenty four hours or part thereof - the walk to the apartment from here is less than a minute! There is on street meter parking and Cabot Circus - just a few minutes walk - has secure, state of the art well lit overnight fully covered parking for a very modest fee - just £2.00 between 5.00 pm and 7.00 am!!
Check in is 2.00 p.m. onwards and checkout 11.00 a.m. at latest. According to the level of bookings there could be flexibility with times of arrival and departure, something which doesn't often feature elsewhere!
Usually self check-in. Very simple booking system.
Come and enjoy this wonderful city - a short refreshing break here might do you the world of good at this time of year!
Incidentally, Bath is only a 12 minute train ride away!

BookThe West Country / Somerset region
South West England enjoys some of the country's finest landscapes, beaches and heritage.
Its main Counties of Somerset, Gloucestershire, Devon and Cornwall are all within easy reach.
Whether travelling by air, land or sea it is easy to reach South West England. It is well connected to the national road and rail network and well served with ferry ports and airports too.
You'll find some of the most spectacular journeys in the country as you make your way around the region - much more than just getting from A to B!
With 40% of England's Blue Flag beaches, 15 National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (a third of England's total) and 4 World Heritage Sites, the South West has a world-class environment for you to enjoy.
Best of all, many of these natural gems can be enjoyed for free. Forget admission fees as you enjoy the natural thrill of a Cornish clifftop view, the delights of cycling through Devon's countryside, or sample Somerset's spiritual sites.
The Georgian City of Bath with its Spa, Stonehenge, the Eden Project, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Wells and Glastonbury ... the list is endless.
And of course, the weather in the South West is usually warmer than other parts fo the UK, even if it does occasionally rain!!
The Bristol / Central Bristol area
Bristol, a conveniently walkable and friendly City, is the gateway to the South West. It is an ideal location for touring England and Wales.
Being the largest City in South West England it should come as no surprise that with its multitude of varied attractions many of its visitors have no need to travel elsewhere during their stay.
It is the ballooning capital of Europe and the UK's first cycling City. Its historic and vibrant harbourside is a must to visit. Indeed in recent years it has become increasingly easy and popular to travel around to key parts of the City by boat. There is even a boat connection in close proximity to the main Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station.
There is rarely a weekend when there is not a Festival, celebration, big-name concert or sporting event! Those coming up include The well acclaimed Kite Festival, Bristol Half Marathon, Fashion Week and the well established German Christmas Market. The list is endless!
Last but far from least - the first in some people's plans - Bristol is renowned for its nightlife and restaurants to suit all tastes!

A friend and I stayed in the Pritchard Street apartment for a weekend away and were so pleased we did! The apartment was exactly as pictured, with a lovely big bathroom. What we appreciated was the peace and quiet as compared to the noise you'd get in any of the city centre hotels on a weekend as we've experienced before. The apartment is located right next to the Cabot Circus shopping centre, cinema, a Sainsburys Local for groceries and is walking distance to any of the tourist attractions in Bristol and is also a great point from which to go on a day trip to Bath. Robert, the owner, could not have been more helpful, and touches like supplying towels was much appreciated. Having a DVD player, kitchen and sofabed made it a fantastic alternative to a hotel. If I came to Bristol again I would definitely want to book the flat again. |

We really enjoyed staying here! We wanted a home away from home and this is exactly what the appartment proivded. Fantastic location - just accross the road from the main shopping centre and city centre. Owner was fantastic - left us a lovely welcome pack and called to check everything was ok. Great value for money too! A great place to explore from or hide away in! Only issue was that the water was never particularly hot - as much as we fiddled with the boiler. Would definitely recommend though! Response: This is a new apartment. The water boiler developed a fault and has now been fully replaced under warranty. The water is piping hot!! |
