The Queensland / Brisbane and Moreton region
Deagon is a north bayside suburb of Brisbane. It is located 19klms from the Brisbane CBD and is on a direct train line (30 minute trip) into the City Centre. Emily House is located in a quiet street of Deagon with a variety of parks with playgrounds etc for the children along with a corner shop and the train station is a mere 200m walk away.
City of Brisbane / Brighton Queensland area
Emily House is located less than 2klms to the waterfront from Brighton all the way to Shorncliffe. The water front is currently being renovated to include lots more picnic tables and chairs, free electric barbeques and shade structures to sit and watch the ocean. The bicycle tracks meander along the waterfront and continue into an extended and extensive bicycle network criss crossing Brisbane.
Sandgate village has a vast array of restaurants namely, Thai, Chinese, RSL Club, Bowls Club, Cafes and of course the Full Moon Hotel perched very high up on the Sandgate Cliff overlooking the entire Bay. The view is spectacular as is the food and wine.
The Blue Water Festival is held during the Easter Celebrations and feature among other things, a variety of live music in the street each day, children's jumping castles, wine and cheese tasting. Fun for the entire family.
During the year Sandgate village hosts several fetes, festivals etc and the Sandgate Town Hall plays host to local theatrical company who put on 3 plays per year.

We had 13 people sleeping on 1 night and not falling over each other - even the hairdresser, makeup artist and the wedding dresser had plenty of room! Plenty of hot water for all of us was also a bonus. Again - thanks!"
