Modern villa, and separate 'cottage', equipped to a very high standard. Large 13m x 7m swimming pool, (open mid May-Sept). Only 10 mins drive from beach. Extensive, secluded grounds with olive trees, almond trees etc. Main villa provides spacious accommodation which sleeps up to 7 with 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. (1 of the double bedrooms also has a comfortable single sofa bed. There is also a travel cot available if required.) There are 2 en-suite shower rooms with WC, and a separate, main family bathroom. In addition, there is also a small, separate open plan 'cottage', which sleeps 2 on 2 very comfortable single sofa-beds, and has its own fridge with tea and coffee making facilities and large en-suite shower and wc - perfect for teenagers (or adults) who want some independence from the main party.
Guests may rent either the main villa on its own, or both the main villa and small house. (The small house would not be rented out separately, so guests can enjoy complete privacy even when renting only the main house.)

The main house is newly constructed and has a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area with modern, comfortable furnishings. The lounge area has a large arched window to the front which overlooks the front verandah, olive grove and 'casita'. To the rear of the lounge there are large french doors which open onto the rear verandah and overlook the pool. The lounge also has the benefit of a woodburning stove which, together with the central heating, means that the villa is a cosy base even in winter. Guests bringing laptops etc may access free wi-fi at the villa. (Subject to network availability). The kitchen is well equipped and overlooks the rear verandah. All 3 bedrooms are spacious and with 2 en-suites and a family bathroom, each effectively has a private bathroom. (The triple enjoys views to the front of the property, and the other 2 have french doors which open directly onto the gardens.) A solar panel provides ample hot water to the villa throughout the summer months.

The main house benefits from large covered verandahs to both the front and rear of the villa, so shade or sun can be found at all times of the day, for eating, relaxing and general outdoor living.
The large pool can be accessed directly from the rear verandah via a wide tiled area. The pool has Roman steps into the waist deep shallow end, and slopes down to the deep end approx 1.8m.. There is a wide tiled and gravelled area surrounding the pool with potted plants etc. Sunbeds and pool towels are provided.
The house has a flat roof terrace which is easily accessed via a staircase, and from which there are views to the sea. and surrounding countryside.The small house has an outdoor seating area to the front. .
The grounds cover approx 10,000 sq m and are fenced/walled to ensure privacy and security.

The swimming pool is available from mid May to end of September.
A welcome pack of groceries is provided for guests, and we can also arrange for a more extensive grocery shopping to be done for you in advance of your arrival. Details provided on booking.
All bed linen, towels, (including separate pool and beach towels), are provided. For stays of 2 weeks, a mid stay clean and linen change is provided.
Please note that the ready access to the roof and swimming pool, whilst a bonus for most guests, may make the property less suitable for toddlers.
Conditions
Strictly no smoking in the property.
Refundable breakages deposit of £200 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
30% of rental fee is required to secure booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before the date of your stay (see booking terms and conditions).
Whilst we regard the property as great for kids, please note that the easy access to the roof terrace and swimming pool mean that, the property may be regarded as less suitable for toddlers or very small children. .

Puglia, (also known as Apulia), is the heel on Italy's boot. It has superb weather, beautiful towns, lovely countryside and never more than 30km across, you are always close to the seaside.There are enticing towns in Puglia: the buzzing Baroque city of Lecce to the south. Martina Franca is a town with a fascinating Moorish atmosphere while Bari is an unspoiled old city. In nearby Ostuni you will discover a hilltop town to rival those of Umbria. The signature building of Puglia (and very popular with holidaymakers) is the trullo.
The trulli are remarkable little cone-roofed whitewashed dwellings and surround Alberobello, (approx 45mins north),, and these are now protected as a UNESCO world heritage site. Puglia has its own wonderful cuisine and typical dishes include oysters roasted with oil, lemon, garlic and marjoram. Mussel and potato soup and a huge range of sea food from sea bream to cuttlefish are favourite localThe nea ingredients. Much of the pasta of Italy starts life in Puglian wheatfields, and the region has superb olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes and good local red wines.
The Brindisi / San Vito dei Normanni area
The nearest shop is can be found in Serranova, only 2km away. The small 'alimentari' sells fresh bread and cold meats, together with a basic range of groceries. It also serves as a small local bar. At Serranova, during the summer months, you will also find a covered outdoor restaurant serving local specialities of roasted meats and oven baked pizza.
For more extensive amenities, San Vito Dei Normanni is only 10 mins drive away. San Vito is a bustling little town with a number of supermarkets, cafes, a few restaurants, banks, a post office and a wide range of other shops. There is also a go-karting track just outside san Vito. During the summer months, you will almost always find some kind of local event or festival taking place in the main square in San Vito.
This is also true of many of the other nearby towns. Local 'festas' complete with parades and fireworks are a wonderful way to spend the balmy summer evenings.
Further afield, (approx 20 mins drive), you will find 2 large shopping centres, and also the city of Brindisi itself. with its lively port and marina.The surrounding countryside and small roads are ideal for bike rides and walks.
Our nearest beach is Torre Guaceto, which is approximately 10 mins drive - or an easy bike ride away.
This is also a local nature reserve, so no development is allowed and the beaches are beautiful. There are many other beaches to explore up and down the coast, all within easy reach of the villa.

Brindisi Airport is the closest at approximately 25km (20mins) from the villa. Bari Airport is approximately 120km (1hr 15mins) from the villa.
Easyjet are now offering direct flights from Gatwick to Bari airport.
Ryan Air offers direct flights from Stansted to both Brindisi and Bari airports.
British Airways also offer direct flights from Gatwick to Bari airport
Alitalia and Lufthansa have flights from London Heathrow to Brindisi and Bari with a change at Rome or Milan.
We have also found it a very easy 4hr drive from Naples airport, which is served by many airlines.
A car is essential for touring and getting to the local amenities. There are many of the major car rental companies at the airports such as Avis, Hertz, Europcar, National, Maggiore and Sixt.
A nearby meeting point will be arranged and you will be guided to the property.
Ferry lines operate from Brindisi to many destinations like Corfu, Kefalonia and mainland Greece.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Palma this June. Our ages ranged from 15 months to 70+ and a group of young adults in between It suited all of us and was kitted out perfectly for all our needs. The villa is simply designed and laid out and has a stunning pool which life revolved around - plenty of pool furniture and toys. Air conditioning in all the rooms makes a tremendous difference in the heat of summer, which is a real bonus. It is very secluded and peaceful but within reach of all you might need. The owners have taken great care to provide plenty of information, tips and guidance and the manager could not be more helpful. |

Superbly equipped and maintained villa in quiet area of olive groves with large pool and plenty of space inside and out. Local towns are great, local amenities good and people very friendly. Close to beaches and a great base for exploring Puglia. |

30% deposit is required to secure booking. Balance payable 6 weeks before booked dates. Payment can be accepted by cheque, bank transfer or by credit card via Paypal. A £200 security deposit is required, paid at the time of the final balance. This is held and returned once the agent has checked the property on departure.
