The Brighton and Hove region
Brighton is a fun and fabulous city. There is some sort of festival almost every month from the famous Pride to the comedy festival in October, and the Arts and Fringe festival in May. It is full of interesting and independent bars shops and cafes and has the stunning and iconic seafront which includes the vibrant Palace Pier which has fireworks at 10pm every Saturday, the ghostly West Pier, the Brighton Eye, the beautifully restored Victoria Bandstand and many other statues and monuments. There are a wide range of venues from the large Brighton Centre to the tiny Latest Music Bar with something for everyone. The Komedia is the most popular comedy venue in the South and has shows all through the week and weekend.
There are many magnificent buildings in Brighton and none more so than the Brighton Pavilion which has the Brighton Museum in it's gardens. It's old stables were themselves so grand that they have been turned into the Brighton Dome - a great venue for concerts, ballet and plays.
If you would like to venture further up the beach to Hove we have a Beach Hut there that we rent out on a daily or weekly basis. Also in Hove is the lagoon where courses are run in sailing and windsurfing.
If you would like us to recommend restaurants, bars, days out, shows etc please contact me to discuss your requirements. I am happy to assist with recommendations if required.
Brighton is in a beautiful part of Sussex. Behind the city is the South Downs which are an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is worth a trip to take in the scenery on a peaceful walk and watch the sky full of paragliders and balloonists. There are many lovely walks detailed in local guidebooks and even more super pubs in which to finish the hike!
London is only a 40 minute train ride away from Brighton, so whether you are escaping from there or you need to be in easy reach, you are not far. Gatwick is a 40 minute drive.
Ferries cross to the continent from Newhaven on one side and Portsmouth on the other.

"Wonderful seafront apartment"
Fantastic apartment with onsite parking, (which is difficult to find included with accommodation in Brighton) overlooking the ocean, ferris wheel and pier all set in a wonderful Regency building right on the seafront. From the minute you see the original entrance to this building you know the experience of staying in this apartment will be special. Inside the spotlessly clean apartment there is a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with a large flat screen TV and large window exploiting the wonderful view. The bathroom has everything you need including large fluffy towels and quality Molton Brown toiletries. The bedroom has a large comfortable bed and window with a window seat overlooking the sea. We had a wonderfully comfortable stay here and would not hessitate to recommed this apartment.

"Grotty enterance, minute bedroom, too noisy to sleep"
The kitchen and bathroom were modern and the sitting room was fine. But the entrance was depressing. The bedroom was minute such that the wardrobe could only be partially opened. The windows were dirt… More
I'm so sorry that this elderly couple didn't enjoy their stay; the many other reviews show that everybody else has loved it and we work very hard to make every holiday here a wonderful stay. They seemed pleased with the apartment on arrival. As soon as I became aware that there was a problem I offered these guests another apartment in a quieter part of the city, but they immediately refused. The entrance of the building is a carpeted hallway with stairs to the apartment. The exterior of the windows are cleaned regularly but it is on the seafront so the weather can cause smears in between cleaning. This review was posted before the guest gave me the necessary information to return her deposit (which has now gone out to her). Deposits are usually returned by Holiday Lettings.

"Just what we needed!"
Flat is lovely. To sit in the bay window and watch the world go by, the sea, pier and revellers was truly amazing. After a very stressful summer we needed a distraction! The flat has everything, an… More
There was an event on Brighton Seafront during this stay which made it noisier than usual! The wooden sash windows are part of the Grade II listed structure of the building and so cannot be replaced with double glazing.
