Apartment was spacious enough for 3 adults and 2 children. Location is excellent, within walking distance of centre of Brighton and across from the beach, children's play area and near to restaurants and cafes. Used Regency Square parking which is better value, the longer you stay - £10 for 24 hrs! Unfortunately the flat needs some serious updating in the decor and the bedding was clean but quite worn. Quite a few of the fittings were very loose. We had trouble finding the iron and there wasn't a hair dryer, despite it being listed in the details. However the kitchen and bathroom were modern and clean enough, although the old paint pots could do with being removed from the kitchen! Also it would have been nice if we had been notified about the scaffolding and work going on to the exterior of the building before we got there. Was a shock that we couldn't use the balcony ( although thankfully weather wasn't warm enough ) and to see workman walking around outside our 5th floor windows! I would recommend the flat for it's good value and location, but hope that the owner perhaps spends some time giving it a thorough clean and updates some fittings and bedding. |

In my opinion you should not stay here, we had to give a £200.00 breakage fee, we could get it back if the flat was in the same state as when we arrived. When we arrived there was blood on the sheets, toilets blocked, filthy shower. We had to call the landlady to sort the toilets out. when we left we made the place spotless, cleaner than when we arrived. However the landlady decided to hold back 100.00 desposit for the toilets being blocked!!!! said we had sabotaged them (we are all mid 30's not kids) and we had to pay for the gas consumption!!! £26.00, we didnt even have the heating on from sat morning onwards. WE also had to pay for the woman to come and cleaned the toilets. I emailed to landlady to complain about this. She advised why we were been charged, said it was all our fault and we used too much gas!!!! what holiday home charges for gas? this is not right you expect toilets to be clear not blocked and the flat to be a lot cleaner. She said we should have lived with the blocked toilet it and used the other one!!! there was 8 of us!!! I gave her a chance to give money back but she then went and emailed my work website and complained about me to my BOSS!!!! luckily all communication was out of work hours but how unprofessional is that. In my opinion you should saty clear of this place, not worth it!!!!! |

I stayed in 54 Embassy Court with friends in April 2012 and had a lovely time. The apartment was everything I had hoped - clean and spacious, with a wonderful view and beachfront location, and just a short walk from the centre of town. Gary Elmer was very helpful throughout the booking process and I received my security deposit back the very next day. |
