Recently refurbished to a high standard (January 2014).
Very comfortable living room, with 43" plasma TV, 2 leather recliners with footstools and designer side tables, leather double sofa bed, solid oak coffee table (with easy-glide castors), real fire (sorry, this cannot be lit when the sofa bed is in use. There are other heating options.) DVD player/iPod and iPhone dock, WiFi, fully equipped Paula Rosa kitchen, double bedroom, with solid oak furnishings throughout, and double leather Ottoman bed with large storage space (2m x 1.3m x 28cm deep) for luggage, etc. Luxury bathroom, and charming patio. Centrally heated, with extensive feature lighting. (Please note that due to the design of the sofa bed, it will not be possible to use the real fire, if the sofa bed is to be used.)
The apartment has only one double bedroom, making it the perfect luxury getaway for couples. For budget-conscious travellers, sleeping for 2 additional guests is provided in the form of the sofa bed in the living room. When occupancy is 3 or 4 adults, the levels of space and privacy are diminished, whilst still offering a high level of comfort.
Walking eastwards leads you into central Brighton, westwards lies the Hove Exercise Trail and the Hove Lawns.
5 minutes' stroll from the Brighton Centre, directly opposite the popular "Meeting Place" cafe and the public petanque (boules) pitch. (Authentic Petanque balls are supplied in the apartment). 200m along the seafront from the petanque pitch are public ping-pong tables (table tennis).

The patio, a sun-trap during the summer months, is larger than the average Brighton patio. Here you can sit and relax, enjoy breakfast or coffee.
Or, simply cross the road to discover the bustle and excitement of the seafront. Petanque balls are also provided, and the public Petanque pitch is directly across the road from the apartment. While away a sunny afternoon pitching petanque, and enjoy a latte at "The Meeting Place" Cafe, right next to it.
Then stroll down the seafront, past the buskers and seafront bars and shops, and "The Arches", home to many quirky art studios and fascinating museums, as well as night clubs and bars, to the Palace Pier, a fabulous place for families to enjoy roller-coaster rides, traditional fish & chips, candy floss, and many fairground attractions. Both Brighton and Hove town centres are a short stroll away, the Brighton Centre is just a five-minute walk.
Brighton's best fish & chip shop, "Bankers", is 250 metres up Western St, on the corner of Western Road. There is a local shop just 100 metres up Western St, as well as one of Brighton's most popular restaurants, "The Gingerman". Known for decades to local residents, it is very popular, though largely unknown to visitors.
Just around the corner on Sillwood Street, visit the "Lion & Lobster" bar (affectionately known as the "Cat & Crab"). Here you can enjoy a beverage, with live jazz bands and other entertainment in the evenings.
200m north of the apartment, you'll find a small green space - Norfolk Square. Just past this, is Western Road. Turn left, and there's a Cooperative supermarket a few metres further down, or turning right, Waitrose is about 300m along Western Road.
Walking further into Brighton, you'll discover the maze of old streets known as "The Lanes", with a plethora of fascinating shops and boutiques. The North Lanes have a slightly different flavour, with a multitude of eclectic boutiques and shops.
Take a tour of the magnificent Brighton Pavilion. Also, check out the local theatres: the Dome, The Theatre Royal, as well as events at The Old Market, a more intimate venue, just a few minutes' walk into Hove.
"Alfresco" is a high quality Italian restaurant on the seafront, with outside dining decks overlooking the sea, just 2 minutes' walk away. We also personally recommend "Day's Restaurant" behind the Queen's Hotel - a simply fabulous Oriental buffet.
There are hundreds of bars, clubs, health clubs, and other venues to explore.
If you can avoid bringing a car, you'll find everything within easy walking distance. But, if you do need a car during your stay, we can advise on the best local parking options.
