This property sleeps up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom and one double sofa bed in the lounge.
Brighton is lively and vibrant and we love it. However, what is particularly good too is that the location of the flat is conversley quiet and tranquil so you can be sure of peace away from the bustle.
The flat had a major renovation in 2010 and has all modern conveniences. You will be impressed by the standard of work done and the homely nature of the flat.
It is a mere 8 minute walk from Brighton Station and similar downwards towards the beach. You will not need your car in Brighton. Look out for parking restrictions. There are plenty of shops nearby and restaurants. Kemp Town and the central bustle is around 10-15 minutes by foot.
There is a lovely public garden that the Square surrounds. Perfect for relaxing in, having a picnic etc. Please remember it is noted for being a quiet and tranquil neighbourhood so please respect that tranquility so all can enjoy it. Western Road is a mere 5 minutes walk and there is a Waitrose and plenty of retaurants to choose.

The apartment is situated in central Brighton/Hove where parking is generally only residential. You may be able to find free street parking but this is a considerable distance from the apartment - 30+minutes walk away.
We suggest that you check facilities at the National Car Parks. They can give weekly passes at reduced rates too. Please highlight and paste the link below in your address box:

The best feature is the small public garden the flat surrounds. You can feel free to go down and have a quiet picnic or just relax.
There are facilities near by. Western Road with Waitrose supermarket is a mere 5 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too and the location is equidistant from either Brighton Pier and Kemptown or the more sedate Hove.

We now provide Wi-Fi. For new bookings this is added automatically at a cost of £10 each week. It is included for short bookings. For existing bookings (made pre 1 May 2011) it will be offered as an optional extra cost.

PLEASE NOTE: We have increased the minimum age for children now to 8.
The flat is on the second floor and this part of Brighton is on a plateau. So it may not be appropriate for people with mobility problems. Older people may well be able to stay but please note this condition.

Brighton is an all year round city. It is very popular with day visitors during the summer. But also in winter people come for weekend fun and it is packed around the Christmas / New year period.

The train station is around a brisk 7-8 minute walk. However, it is rather hilly so you may be better off getting a taxi which will take a mere 3 minutes.
Please note. Brighton and Hove is a city where a car is not required. If you come by car parking is extremely difficult. This property is based in central Brighton/Hove and parking is resident only. Free parking can be found about 30 minutes walk away or there is limited 4 hour metered parking 10 minutes walk away. The real alternative are NCP parking spaces. We are sorry we cannot help you further but you are assured one of the best and most central locations in Brighton.

We stayed here over Christmas for 8 days. It was clean, a good size and really felt like a home from home. The living room/kitchen is big and looks over the square - it's on the second floor and faces south through 3 big windows so is lovely and light. The furniture is comfortable and there's a dining table, big sofa/futon and fireplace. The kitchen has all appliances you might need, but being 5 minutes from Seven Dials and the main town centre, it's hard not to eat at the many restaurants ... At Seven Dials there is Thai Pad Thai, The Good Companions pub and The Cow - all easy walking distance and serve good food. The bedroom is fully furnished and very warm, and bathroom is clean - and also the biggest bathroom I've seen in a flat that size! A couple of points to note - there very little parking so it's definitely better to travel to Brighton by train as the station is a 5 minute (uphill!) walk. You could get a cab for about £5. Also, it's on the second floor and there is no lift. I love Brighton and think that staying at a lovely holiday flat like this is the great way to see the city. This is the perfect location. |

On arrival we were met by Margret who let us in and showed us the basics - we were asked to keep the noise down (which at 2pm I thought a bit much) - the apartment has a spacious lounge area with sofa bed and kitchen area - there was also a TV and and selection of DVD's incase you've visited Brighton to stay in. the Bathroom was clean bright and airy with towels provided. if you have issues with stairs this apartment would not be for you as from the station there was quite a hilly walk and then forth floor of the building - there was free wifi available for customers use. All in all I would recommend this apartment but again being asked to be quiet at 2pm and then told Margaret would not have rented it to a group of four did not initially make us feel welcome. |
