The South East England region

80 miles of coastline means super beaches for the family; there are lovely gardens, history and heritage; castles, abbeys, priories, stately homes and historic houses. There are family amusement parks and wildlife centres; the nostalgic, the curious and the simply fun, including museums of bygones, steam railways and caves. Sussex boasts numerous theatres and arts festivals, golf courses, horse racing, many ancient churches and buildings plus large Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty over the South Downs and Ashdown Forest, (including the soon-to-be-designated South Downs National Park) - and don't forget the Sussex Pubs!

Brighton and Hove

England’s loveliest and liveliest city by the sea. Brighton and Hove is fun, cosmopolitan and uniquely eccentric all year round. Regency architecture, pleasure pier, specialist shops, pavement cafés, lively arts scene and vibrant night-life everything’s in walking distance, so take time to explore and enjoy. And with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs and traditional English countryside, Brighton and Hove is a great base for exploring the region. Brighton and Hove is the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish night-life and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel.

For centuries it has been regarded as a ‘pleasure dome’, and that’s not about to change. If you love life, welcome to Brighton and Hove.

"Nice House but so many rules & regulations to really relax"

Pretty unprepossesing on the outside (actually borderline scruffy) the interior is nonetheless much better and perfectly warm & comfortable if not in any way luxurious and arguably a little twee in pl… More

Thank you for your review, we will ask the housekeepers to check the kitchen inventory.

Key collection was from a city centre location and they were personally handed to the guests by a staff member.

The first call was received at approx 9pm on Sunday evening complaining of loud music. On arrival, the music could be heard out on the street and it took approx 6 attempts of ringing the doorbell in order to gain an answer. The gentleman was asked to be respectful of the neighbours and to turn the music down slightly. At this point he was advised that should this disturbance continue after 10pm his security deposit would be at risk. At around 1am a further complaint was made by the same neighbour for the same reasons. On arrival, loud music was heard coming from the property. After 5 minutes of trying, someone came to the front door, once inside it was like a nightclub. The guests were instructed to turn off the music as it was 1.15am and the family next door were unable to sleep. It was re-iterated that they were in danger of losing their security deposit. After a further 15 minutes, they agreed not to play any more music and no further complaints were received.

The deduction of £250.00 from the security deposit also included £50.00 for a missing set of keys which have not been returned.

Our website does state that this property is situated in a residential area and the owners are keen to maintain good relations with the neighbours. Whilst large groups are warmly welcomed, the house is not suitable for noisy groups. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property including the outside areas.
