Wish Road Studio may be modest in size, but it is in a great location and is both well equipped and well presented. Found at the rear of the owners house, the studio is in a quiet location but just a short walk away from the beach, with Brighton just a short distance along the seafront. It's an ideal holiday alternative to a hotel room and is also available for longer stays.

The studio has its own private access, allowing guests to come and go as they please. The main room of the studio has a pull-out day bed, which is both the sofa and a king-sized double bed. This can even be spilt to make 2 single beds, if required. There is small desk area with a TV above, which includes a DVD player. At the other end of the studio room is the kitchen area, which includes a unit with 2 ring hob, sink, fridge (with small freezer box) and a storage cupboard. There is a microwave oven, mini grill, toaster and kettle available, as well as pots, pans and cooking utensils. There is also a fold-out dining table with stools, giving a dining area to enjoy meals. The shower room to the studio is compact but very functional, with a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The studio has slate flooring throughout and under-floor heating.

Outside the entrance to the studio is a small space with a table and chairs, so guests can enjoy a glass of wine in the summer evenings. Although there is no private parking available for the studio, there is plenty of on-street parking nearby, either unrestricted or with minimal daytime restrictions. Parking vouchers can be purchased for £2 per day.

The owner of Wish Road Studio is able to offer an washing service (£10 per load), as well as a daily cleaning service (£10) and a bed linen and towel change during your stay (£10). A travel cot is also available (additional charge applicable).

Brighton and Hove

Wish Road benefits from leading straight onto the seafront at Hove. Within a few yards of the studio is the beach and all the amenities and activities it has to offer, including a sporting lake, tennis courts, playground and cafes. Just over the road from Wish Road is The Big Beach Café, owned and run by one of Brighton's famous residents, Norman Cook, also known as the DJ Fat Boy Slim.

Follow the seafront to the east for about 2 miles and you will soon be in the centre of Brighton, famous for its pier, Royal Pavilion, great selection of unique shops and its nightlife. The choice of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops is enough to cater to any tastes, but do look out for some special ones, such as "Choccywoccydoodah"... a must for any chocolate lover!

Brighton's Royal Pavilion is a must see attraction. It is the spectacular seaside palace built by the Prince Regent (George IV) and now houses works of art and furnishings of the highest quality. Brighton Pier is also a very popular attraction, great for anyone that likes the fairground or strolling along with a bag of fish and chips for lunch. Brighton also has a wide range of annual events which, among others, include Gay Pride, a food and drink fair, the London to Brighton bike ride, and the air show at nearby Shoreham.

Wish Road Studio is about 1 mile from the nearest train station and service to London run regularly. From Hove, you can be in London in just over an hour, making it great for a day trip to see the site of the capital. There are also excellent bus services locally, running along the coast, so exploring the area without a car can easily be done.
