The South East England region

Brighton and Hove: England’s loveliest and liveliest city by the sea. Brighton and Hove is fun, cosmopolitan and uniquely eccentric all year round. Regency architecture, pleasure pier, specialist shops, pavement cafés, lively arts scene and vibrant nightlife, everything is within walking distance, so take time to explore and enjoy. And with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs and traditional English countryside, Brighton and Hove is a great base for exploring the region. Brighton and Hove is the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain. However brazen that may sound, it is no exaggeration. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish nightlife and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel.

For centuries it has been regarded as a ‘pleasure dome’, and that’s not about to change. If you love life, welcome to Brighton and Hove. Info provided by tourist board.

"Perfect house for a large group with an amazing location!"

I have just stayed in this house with 18 friends to celebrate my birthday and the house was perfect. There were plenty of beds which were extremely comfortable and the linen was fresh and clean with a… More

Thank you for your great review! I am sorry that two of the bedrooms showed old pictures, but you visited just after the new beds had been installed. For everyones comfort and convenience, I have changed the sleeping arrangements and now everyone is in the bedrooms rather than some on sofa beds in the lounge. The locks on the bathrooms was a complete oversight and is being addressed this week.

"Perfect - well stocked, well thought out, reasonably priced in the center of town."

"Great concept, just a little grubby!"

Just spent 3 days here and it was, overall, a great weekend, It was just a little disappointing that they knew that there were 23 of us arriving but only had beds for 18.. we were expected to seek out… More

Thank you for your review I am sorry that although you had a great weekend in this centrally located house in Brighton you posted a poor review, without giving the property manager who conducted the meet and greet any feedback. I have on order new hotel contract mattresses which were ordered before your visit and identified as something that needed replacing as part of our ongoing refurbishment program. I am confused about you saying that there were only 18 beds as the house has a bed for every guest up to 24 people - perhaps you missed the two double sofa beds? I also would take issue with your comments regarding cleaning of the house. I spend over £250 a week on employing a professional cleaning company who clean between visits and I know the house was clean as I had personally inspected it in the week before your stay going round measuring for the new mattresses, changing light bulbs, replacing broken glasses and checking that the Fire Risk Assessment book was up to date. I guess that I will have to beg to differ on the issue and hope that prospective renters look at all the positive reviews rather than yours alone.
