This unique, two bed house in central Brighton is a well kept secret. Set back from the road in a mews development it offers a quiet oasis next to the famous Lanes. Ideal for sea, shops, restaurants and everything else buzzing Brighton has to offer.

The Space

Recently renovated to a high standard and newly listed, this small, comfortable, two bedroom house sleeps up to five people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other a double. There is also a guest chair folding mattress in the lounge. For such a central location it's amazingly quiet - and ideal if you wish to enjoy Brighton from the convenience of a central location. The seafront is just one minute's walk away at the end of the road - you can see the sea from the gate. Note that weekly rates may be cheaper than shown and vary from £550 - £770 depending on whether it's high or low season.

Guest Access

Please enjoy all the amenities the house provides. We have worked hard to create our ideal holiday home and to make it comfortable and relaxing for you. For a townhouse in such a central location it's surprisingly quiet and peaceful as it's tucked away in a secluded and private gated mews. Please maintain the unique, quiet ambience of the communal courtyard. As the courtyard is a shared space, we do require you to be respectful of the neighbours. Our house is most definitely NOT suitable for rowdy groups.

The Neighbourhood

You can't get more central in Brighton than Middle Street. Our house is in the heart of the Lanes - the original, mediaeval streets of the fishing village of Brighthelm. The Lanes are renowned for their unique and quirky shops, restaurants, pubs and bars and the seafront and beach with conference centres, cinemas and entertainment are just a short walk away.

Getting around

Being in the heart of Brighton means no transport needed. Everything can be accessed easily on foot - including the Royal Pavilion, North Laine and Churchill Square. There are frequent buses to Hove and other areas. Getting here is easy as the Brighton mainline railway station is half a mile away and the coach station just a few streets away. If you have a car there is metered parking on the street and several seafront car parks nearby. We can also show you where you can park further away for free - which should be fine as you won't need your car during your stay.

The South East England region

Brighton is a buzzing seaside town made famous in the Regency era. The Royal Pavilion, loved by the Prince Regent but hated by Queen Victoria, was eventually sold by her to Brighton council. It has a unique style - Indian on the outside, Oriental on the inside.

There's always something going on throughout the year. The Brighton Festival in May features arts, crafts, theatre, street performances, cinema, comedy - all kinds of merriment and mayhem. Then there's Gay Pride in August, the Veteran Car rally in November and Bonfire night in Lewes on 5th November is not to be missed. Every month there is something of interest and always theatres, cinema, pubs, clubs and restaurants to keep you happy.

Brighton is also renowned for its wide range of unique and quirky shops. There are three main shopping areas - The Lanes (mediaeval part of town near where the house is located); the North Laine; and Churchill Square/Western Road for mainstream shops.

Just 50 miles from London, Brighton makes an ideal base to visit the capital, too. Fast trains get you to Victoria in just 50 minutes.

Brighton and Hove

Sussex is green, lush and peaceful with soft, rolling hills. The South Downs is a hilly ridge that stretches west and east behind the city. From Devil's Dyke you can see across the weald and across the sea to the Isle of Wight.

Suggestions for beautiful visits to the countryside include Arundel, Lewes, Barcombe Mills, Charleston Farmhouse, Alfriston, and Littlington. Make sure you see the Long Man of Wilmington, too.
