My studio flat is situated on the seafront in Hove, part of the twin city of Brighton and Hove. Here the shops are smaller and friendlier, the restaurants less trendy but just as varied and interesting, the pubs range from Rose and Crown to Rat and Parrott, and parking is easier. The flat has an uninterrupted sea view and lies just two minutes walk from the beach and local leisure centre. Hove town centre is 10 minutes walk, while the centre of Brighton is just 15 minutes by (frequent) bus or a pleasant stroll along the seafront.

The flat is furnished in a flexible way, and is suitable for both singles and couples.

The property is on Brighton & Hove's list of approved accommodation and has been awarded three stars by the English Tourism Council under their quality assurance scheme.

I am glad that you enjoyed our wonderful location close to the beach and that you appreciated the personal welcome that we offered. I am also pleased that you found the kitchen well equipped (I will replace the toaster as soon as I can) and enjoyed the full Sky package, including Sports and Movies, available. The latter is a major expense for a small business like mine but I feel it important that my wide diversity of guests are always able to find entertainment to suit them.

Brighton and Hove is a lively city (indeed that is what attracts most of the thousands of visitors who come here each year) and, given our location just outside the city centre, there will inevitably be some noise during the day. It is quieter at night (the car hire firm only operates during the day) and, in order to deal with any noise there may be, there is full double glazing throughout the flat and I have provided an air conditioning unit to enable the windows to be closed at night if required.

It is good that you found the beds were comfortable. They are single beds (though of standard size) to allow flexibility and in order that one can be stored below the other during the day to maximise space. They can be set up as a double bed of good size, and linen is provided for that purpose.

Last but not least I am fully committed to providing the highest standards of cleanliness, and have been throughout the 15 years that Holiday Flat has been in business. I am truly sorry that you felt that we slipped below those standards on this occasion. I will work to identify any specific issues (I note that you do not mention any yourself) and ensure that they are addressed.
