To the East you have the quaint and charming ancient seaside village of Rottingdean. and further afield all within the hour there is Seaford with its long beach, Newhaven with ferries to France and also the Victorian seaside resort town of Eastbourne,

To the North you will reach the old market town of Lewes which is well worth visiting. The South Downs(now a National Park) is close by and offers many lovely views plus lots of downland villages.

Brighton and Hove

In Brighton itself there is so much to do and see that you are spoilt for choice. The Brighton Pier and nearby Sea Life Centre are worth a visit but top of the list is the fantastic and amazing Royal Pavilion. Don't forget the Lanes and also the North Laines area as well.
