Smugglers Retreat
About the home
Brighton is the ultimate destination for a vibrant city break by the sea and the town is buzzing all year round making it an ideal place to plan a weekend break any time of year. Smugglers Retreat is situated in the heart of the old city, The South Lanes, and the property itself is steeped in history dating back to 1565.
The Lanes district is world famous for stylish shopping; from the jewellery quarter to the hippest fashion and vintage boutiques. It also hosts Brighton's best night spots, bars and restaurants, with Jamie Oliver's latest addition, 'Jamie's Italian', opening just around the corner from Smugglers Retreat.
Planning a Christmas shopping trip? Make the most of our discounted mid- week rates, and spend the savings at the shops!
The house is less than a minute walk from the beach and vibrant seafront attractions. For culture vultures The Royal Pavilion is less than a 5 minute walk away, as well as The Theatre Royal, The Corn exchange, The Dome and The Brighton Museum. Take in the vibrant city scene and watch Brighton's rainbow walk by, from street performers in the Pavilion gardens, the volley ball team practising on the beach to lovers posing on the Pier.
Perfect for groups of friends and family, romantic weekends, shopping trips or girly-get-togethers.
For larger groups the terraced property is next door to The Birdcage (also listed on holidaylettings) and the two cottages can be booked together for groups of up to 16, which is popular with discerning hen do's and groups of friends down to enjoy Brightons infamous night life.
The house has been decorated to an exceptional high standard with mod- cons such as wi-fi and i-pod dock. The fashionable vintage design includes decorative antiques, and designer accessories and wallpapers making it a truly original and stylish place to stay. Each bedroom has a different theme, while the double shower wet-room is clad in wall to wall slate, and the large squashy sofa and well stacked book case makes it feel home from home.
This is the ideal place to lock yourselves away for the weekend, or step out in style for the best that Brighton has to offer.
