The South East England region
Sussex is one of the UK's most beautiful areas, the newly created South Downs national park borders Brighton and Hove and within a short distance of Brighton are the seven sisters, an iconic view of the English coastline. Historic country houses, battlefields, castles and fishing ports, Sussex has it all. The road network means that there are excellent links to all of the South East's airports, its fast train service from London Victoria and links to Eurostar services via London St Pancras on Thameslink means that the area is well positioned for international visitors as well as those escaping London.
Brighton and Hove
Brighton is one of the UK's leading entertainment destinations. Bars, restaurants, clubs, al fresco dining, theatre, cinema, arts venues and a mix of people from the four corners of the globe make Brighton one of the most eclectic and cosmopolitan cities in the UK. Just an hour from London, the vibrant city is surrounded on one side by the sea and on the other by the South Downs National Park, meaning tranquility is just a short ride away.

The penthouse is situated in the heart of Brighton with only a short walk to anywhere. North Laine is so close but the noise was non existent due to the position of the building. Everything that we needed was in the apartment (A hat/ coat stand might be a good idea though.) The neighbours were very quiet and when we did bump into them in the hall way were very friendly. We would definitely come back to Brighton and when we do we shall be contacting Nick to stay in the penthouse again. A great time was had by all , an experience that we would thoroughly recommend.

"Nice apartment, good location"
It is a nice apartment, clean and easy to live in. Well situated, close to train station.
Nice to sit outside and we used the outdoor grill alot. This was our sixth vist to Brighton over the years, always plesant.
No lift and only one key to the front gates.
In response to this we now offer two sets of keys as standard on a booking

"Great weekend stay"
We loved staying in the trendy North Laine during our visit to Brighton. The neighbours were friendly and the local shops, facilities and entertainment was within minutes walk.
We visited lots of areas in Brighton and are glad we chose this area to stay in as it felt like the real Brighton we read about; with quirky pubs, shops and boutiques on our doorstep and typical seaside cottage-lined streets all around us.
The apartment is a Penthouse in a gated block with good security. The balcony views are incredible over the East of Brighton. The bedrooms were both good sizes, the kitchen and living area was fairly large and open plan which worked really well for us and we had everything we needed.
The only thing I missed was having Sky Sports but the pub on the corner had the game on so it wasn't all bad! A really great weekend! We will definitely be back again next year.

"Nice Apartment and location but not as described or expected"
From the reviews and photos this looked like a fantastic apartment for 4 friends to spend a weekend catching up, shopping and enjoying a few glasses of wine. I was surprised after making my payment to received a list of 'rules of the house' including asking women to 'remove heeled shoes' when entering the apartment and 'remove make-up' before getting into bed as this may ruin the sheets. I was under the impression it was going to be an immaculate apartment. However the reality was very different. There was food stuck to the hob, worksurfaces, oven door, and in the dishwasher. The floor hadn't been swept, the sink was brown with dirt, there were a couple of well used dishcloths left, and there were clothes in the wardrobes. The inside of the oven was filthy, luckily we had no plans to use it! We had to spend the first part of our weekend cleaning the kitchen, there was nothing that some cleaning products and a bit of bleach couldn't sort, of which there were plenty under the sink! After a long day shopping we all fancied a shower before going out on the Saturday but there was no hot water, despite following the very detailed instructions, the owner's response was that perhaps we had interfered with the controls. The owner was contacted immediately on all aspects so was given the chance to respond, however his initial response was to 'have a bottle of wine on me'. After returning home I contacted the owner about the problems we had encountered, he had to be prompted to reply several times, and eventually refunded us the equivalent of £16.25 per person (on a £450 rental). This included the cost of the cleaner and the bottle of wine. I was advised that the regular cleaner was not available, however that does not make it acceptable to rent it out in this state, considering the detailed instructions that are sent to you after booking regarding how clean you need to leave the place upon departure. I rent several self catering places each year in this country, and this is by far the most expensive yet worst condition I have experienced in many years. I can guarantee it was a lot cleaner when we left it than when we arrived!!
We treat all feedback from guests as important.
Our cleaner had failed on this occasion to clean the oven and sink in the kitchen to our usual high standards. We held a full inquiry into the issues raised by our guests, meeting with our cleaners on site and ensuring that the cleaning company was not paid, but that their charge for cleaning the entire apartment was instead paid to our guests. We added further compensation including – as rightly mentioned - the cost of a bottle of wine. It simply is not true to state that the compensation offered was £16.25 per person.
The compensation offer was made to the guests 36 hours after their stay was due to terminate.
Our guests later informed us that our offer of compensation was not enough. We informed our guests that we would not pay a higher amount but that we were happy to be bound by an independent adjudicator – we are members of the English Association of Self Catering Operators - this was declined by the guests who then accepted our original offer of compensation.

"Lovely apartment in a great area"
We stayed in the North Laine Penthouse for a weekend and it was perfect! Ideal location for shops, bars, the seafront and clubs and we got to have cocktails on the terrace. It's great for access to the train station and the Laines. We had an amazing time in Brighton and the apartment itself is lovely. Highly recommended!
