Benoy Cottage is a quaint farm cottage set at the heart of a working dairy farm, sounded by the beautiful West Dorset countryside. From here a herd of 450 pedigree Holstein cows are milked.

Internally, the cottage was completely renovated in 2009 and offers a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area. Externally, two sets of French doors offer direct access to the furnished decked balcony and then on to the communal lawn.

Pilsdon Dairy Farm is a 4th generation family farm that has been farming in this area for over 100 years. The family is very proud of their pedigree herd, and arrangements can be made in advance for an informal tour of the dairy unit.

Pilsdon Dairy Farm is just a few miles away from the dramatic Jurassic Coast, England's first World Heritage Site. The popular market town of Bridport is a short drive away where there are a selection of cafes, restaurants, an arts centre and a large supermarket. The picturesque harbour town of Lyme Regis is also a short drive away where you can find an array of shops, eateries and beaches.

The Dorset region

Dorset's beautiful and dramatic scenery has long made the county a favourite with writers, poets and film crews. Jurassic cliffs plunge alongside picturesque harbour towns and coastal resorts, providing an impressive backdrop for the many popular Dorset holiday destinations. Blue Chip Holidays can offer Dorset holiday cottages in many of the county's towns, each of which has a slightly different experience to offer than the next. Poole has one of the world's largest natural harbours. Portland Castle was built in 1539 by Henry VIII to defend Weymouth. Tours of Thomas Hardy's Dorset are operated throughout the county.

Bridport

Bridport &Lyme Regis holiday cottages position their guests within beautiful West Dorset and some of the most unspoilt scenery in Britain. Lyme Regis is a classic seaside town, with a newly-enlarged sandy beach and a famous harbour wall, The Cobb. The beach has been the scene of many significant fossil findings and lucky visitors occasionally make an interesting discovery! Bridport, a quaint market town, is just ten miles from Lyme Regis and continues to charm those on Bridport and Lyme Regis holidays today. Bridport has had a market for over a thousand years, and still houses one each week. Jane Austen wrote Persuasion in Lyme Regis. Dinosaurland in Lyme Regis contains some of its famous fossils. Bridport is home to over one thousand listed buildings.
