Hell Barn cottages are a small, quiet holiday cottage complex, on the outskirts of the village of Chideock, set in a hollow by Winniford Stream and surrounded by rolling farmland. A mile inland off the main road, it is quiet and peaceful but also a convenient spot from which to explore the Jurassic Coast, including the nearby town of Lyme Regis and other places of interest in Dorset, Devon and Somerset. The nearest beach is two miles away, with several other beaches within easy reach by car. There are many miles of delightful footpaths to explore, including the fine coastal path with its breathtaking views. The spacious and comfortable cottages are located in middle of countryside. There is a large, attractive garden, which is great for relaxing or playing in at any time of day. The garden also houses a games room, which is equipped for all ages from toddler to adult. Japanese food is our speciality.

The West Country region

Famous for its ancient fossils and Jurassic coastline, West Dorset offers stunning scenery and wonderful walks both on the coastal paths and further inland through fields on rolling hills. It is an ideal place to get away from it all, with plenty of pubs and restaurants offering good quality home-cooked local food and a variety of local beers. Pretty villages with thatched cottages still abound and the locals are a friendly and helpful bunch.

Bridport

In addition to magnificent walks and scenery there are a great variety of attractions for all ages including gorgeous gardens, family fun farms, military museums, walks with llamas, films, theatre and music in various small venues, extensive markets and outdoor pursuits such as coasteering or clay pigeon shooting. There really is something for everybody here!

"Well equipped and peaceful"

These cottages are lovely. Perfect location for the Jurassic coast, as we wanted to be near but not on the coast. If the the weather is less than ideal, the seaside can be a bit grim for a 2 week stay… More
