CHARMING 17TH CENTURY FARMHOUSE LOCATED WITHIN THIS RURAL SETTING

Reached through the unused farm entrance the house is surrounded by large lawns on two sides offering plenty of room for children to play and let off steam. Finished to an extremely high standard having been sympathetically renovated whilst keeping much of its original charm.

Perfectly situated just off the Jurassic Coast spanning 95 miles of the Dorset and Devon coastline and taking in some of the very finest walks. Located 3 miles from both Lyme Regis and Charmouth. These seaside towns offer sandy beaches and provide a perfect environment for children to play and adults to relax in the traditional deck chairs which still line the promenade of Lyme Regis in the summer.

This picturesque property offers THREE bedrooms: master double with super-king-size bed and en-suite shower room and WC, 1 double with king-size bed and additional single and 1 further large room with 3 single beds, all located on the first floor. Bathroom: with WC. Additional shower room with WC located on the ground floor. Lounge: enjoying woodburner and flatscreen TV with DVD and Freeview. Snug/play room with additional seating, sofa bed and TV. Dining room: full size dining table, large inglenook with large woodburner. Kitchen: well-equipped with integrated oven and hob, double wall mounted electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: offers a large enclosed garden with lawn and patio with garden furniture, BBQ and climbing frame for small children. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and Wi-fi included. Central heating surcharge of £30 per week applies October – March inclusive. Generous supply of logs provided. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets. Location: beach 4 miles, shop and pub 1 mile.

"Wonderful."

If you require a quiet and relaxing holiday destination, that is suitable for young children, then this place is ideal. I can honestly say that it is one of the best properties we have stayed at.

Our party consisted of 4 adults and twin girls (11 months old). It is immaculately kept and contains everything that you require for the stay. There was loads of space for us all and was very safe for the girls, with the required number of travel cots and high chairs provided. There are a couple of large steps between the rooms that crawling little ones could find if you are not careful, so you may want to take a couple of your own stair gates to prevent that from happening (as the properties stair gates are "built in" and you cannot move them) Generally though, things are out of reach of crawling babies, with few loose wires which ensured there were no extra charges at the end of the holiday!

Location wise, it was just what we required. Quiet, peaceful and in the middle of the countryside! You are only 10 minutes from Lyme Regis (lovely pushchair friendly promenade), 10 minutes from Charmouth (nice beach) and close enough to Beer, Branscombe & Sidmouth. You are 10 minutes from the supermarket in Axeminster (everywhere seems 10 minutes away!) and there is lots of information provided for other activities. The local pub is probably not close enough to walk, but does good food and it is very hard to get a taxi from it as we found out!

Overall, I would recommend this holiday letting to anyone - with a young family or as a group of friends. The whole rental process was really easy and the people that met us to show us round the farmhouse were really friendly and very helpful. Thank you.
