Located in the heart of the West Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mandeville is a well appointed holiday bungalow in the small hamlet of West Milton near Powerstock.
The bungalow sleeps 4 (1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom) and has a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room, large lounge with open fire in winter, bathroom and shower room. There is a large well-maintained garden and a detached garage with parking for one car. A second car can be accommodated in front of the garage.
Please note that mobile phone reception is limited for some networks.
Bookings are taken for 7 night breaks throughout the year (usually Fri-Fri) or midweek/weekend bookings at quieter times. Non-smoking only. Pets are permitted by arrangement.

Mandeville is a large, spacious detached bungalow in an elevated position close to the centre of West Milton. Accommodation is offered on a non-smoking basis only.
The accommodation sleeps 4 with one double-bedded room and one twin-bedded room.
The kitchen is well equipped with a double electric oven, separate electric hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine. There is a modern bathroom/wc and a separate shower room/wc.
The breakfast room (or dining room) overlooks the garden. There is a sizeable open aspect lounge with comfortable lounge suite, large plasma tv, dvd player and small hi-fi. There is also an open fireplace.
There is oil-fired central heating/hot water.

During the summer months days and evenings can often be spent in the garden using the comfortable garden furniture provided. Please note that the garden is not secure and therefore it is not suitable for children/pets to be left unsupervised.

West Milton is located approximately 3 miles north east of the market town of Bridport and 4 miles north of the coast at West Bay. It is a small, quiet hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside and a network of footpaths for keen walkers. The nearest shops are on the outskirts of Bridport whilst the nearby villages of Nettlecombe and Powerstock (both a mile distant) each have a popular pub serving excellent food.
The county town of Dorchester is approximately 16 miles to the east. The popular seaside resort of Weymouth with its long sandy beach is 18 miles. Stretching west between Weymouth and West Bay is the long sweep of Chesil Beach and the pretty village of Abbotsbury. Between West Bay and Lyme Regis are a number of small coastal villages and beaches, breathtaking clifftops and wooded valleys. Lyme Regis itself is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Bridport area
Bridport is an attractive and thriving market town. It has a Rope Museum celebrating the town’s history of ropemaking, a leisure centre and a wide range of shops including supermarkets. Market days are Wednesdays and Saturdays.
As well as the beautiful natural landscapes popular local attractions include Abbotsbury Swannery, Botanic Gardens and Children’s Farm. West Bay has an attractive working harbour, shingle beach and clifftop walks. Weymouth offers a SeaLife centre, historic Old Harbour and seaside attractions. Dorchester is home to the Dorset Tank Museum, Terracotta Warriors and Teddy Bear Museum. Lyme Regis has a restored sandy beach, pretty harbour and features The Cobb, a stone causeway famously featured in ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’. Yeovilton Air Museum is a popular day visit.
