Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 5
Laneside Cottage is a Grade II Listed, thatched cottage situated in the heart of Chideock. Within just a few minutes drive are the bustling market town of Bridport, West Bay (made famous by the television series Broadchurch), Charmouth and Lyme Regis. There are many footpaths leading direct from the cottage to explore the surrounding area and the cottage is close to a bus stop should you prefer to leave the car behind and enjoy a day out.
Newly refurbished, the cottage has a well equipped kitchen with "home from home" comforts to help you enjoy your holiday. Perfect for a Spring/Summer holiday but equally nice for a winter stay. The cottage is centrally heated plus has a wood-burning stove in the living room.
The 3 bedrooms are on the first floor. To the left of the staircase is a double bedroom. To the right is a twin bedroom leading to a single bedroom with the bathroom beyond. There is also a WC on the ground floor.
There is a small, private garden with decked area and table/chairs to enjoy al fresco dining with views to the hills beyond.
Travel cot available on request.
Laneside Cottage is available all year with a minimum stay of 7 nights. Standard changeover day is Friday. However we will try to accommodate other days if possible. Dog by arrangement.

The West Country region
The Jurassic Coast stretches 96 miles, the length of which can be walked on the Southwest Coast Path and the beautiful Golden Cap is just a 2 and a half mile walk from the cottage where you can enjoy stunning views across Lyme Bay.
There are far too many attractions to mention but highly recommended are the Bridport Food Festival in June which includes the Round Table Beer Festival. Not to be missed! July sees Lifeboat week in Lyme Regis with many fun events for families including fireworks and RAF displays and perhaps one of the more unusual events is the Bridport Hat Festival this year being held on the 5th and 6th September.
