"Well positioned but a little tired..."
Flat is well positioned for the beach and town. But it could do with a little TLC. As mentioned by another reviewer the drawer fronts in the bedroom fall off ,Often. The bed for me was hard but that is … More
Since the previous reviewers comments about the step into the kitchen, I have already updated my literature to specify this as well as it being mentioned in my accessibility Statement. Unfortunately, this customer booked well in advance of this so had an earlier copy of my literature. There is a ramp available to avoid using the step however.
I am now in the process of mentioning the step in all descriptions on all websites that I advertise through as well.
Unfortunately, this is the first indication that I have had from anybody that there was a problem with a drawer fronts so this is now being looked into and any remedial action taken. I do have local agents on call 24/7 when customers are in the house. They live across the road from the apartments and customers are informed that they are available to deal with any issues that customers have during their stay. It is a shame that the customer didn't feel that they could raise this with them so that we could have fixed the problem whilst they were there to make their stay a more enjoyable one.
We have no control about one off problems that occur with residents in other houses in the street I'm afraid. We are not aware of any regular occurrences of such events occurring in the past.

"Value for money and just a five minute walk to the harbour."
Didn't know what to expect when we arrived but pleasantly surprised. The house is old and did show in places but never the less it was ideal for us as we had our mom with us who suffers from dementia and also not very mobile. We rented apartment 1 on the ground floor which also has the only access to a patio area and parking for a small car(accessed from the rear). The best point for us was the fact that we could park the car up for the week and just wheel mom into the town every day in her wheelchair instead of struggling to get her in and out of the car every day. The downside was the step down into the kitchen but with the portable ramp we managed to get mom up and down to the kitchen and bathroom without too much trouble. Also the apartments above were quite noisy at times as there were two families with young children staying so if this bothers you I would recommend that you make sure there are no young families stopping when you want to stay. Overall we had a great stay here and both the owner and her agent were very helpful and friendly.
Thank you for the positive response and the 4 stars and I'm glad that an an enjoyable stay was experienced.
I have the following comments to some of the detailed points raised:
The apartment was graded Mobility Level 2 status for wheelchair users by Visit England and an accessibility statement is available on my website.
As a result, I do have several accompanied wheelchair users staying in this accommodation throughout the year. I appreciate that the single step is not ideal but,as was mentioned, the ramp provided does enable wheelchair users to access the kitchen, shower room and private patio garden/ parking space.
Bridlington is a particular favourite of families in the school summer holidays, so children staying in the property in high summer season is an inevitability in my property.
Either side of the school summer holidays is also particularly busy for customers wanting a quieter holidays and for this reason early booking is recommended for holidays between May and the end of October.

"Good location nice apartment very clean"
Located near Bridlington spa the ground floor apartment is a good base and ideal for families. Having stayed at a 4 star cottage in Flamborough the apartment is Brid was not comparable but was adequate for our needs and the hosts are fantastic. It's a little tired and probably just needs updating but has all relevant facilities in all rooms with a nice outdoor area. It was clean and tidy to a high standard, ideal for families. As usual Jayne is lovely and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her. Janet, the owner, is always helpful and obliging and I thank her for suggesting the apartment as we had a lovely weekend in Brid.

"Spacious Mobilty Friendly Apartment"
If you have family or relatives that want a short holiday at the coast , these apartments are situated 5 minutes from the Spa and harbour .
As an added bonus apartment 1 is fitted out with plenty of Mobility features, rooms were clean and tidy, although from the outside the building looked a bit rundown and maybe could do with a paint job , to freshen it up.
One last comment added plus plenty of equipment in kitchen , cutlery etc.
Thank you for your feedback. Glad you had a good stay & found the apartment well equipped & well located.
With regards to the exterior, we are hoping to undertake upgrade work to the frontage of the property at some point later this year.

Very well appointed apartment in good location for all amenities.
Property in immediate surroundings a bit run down but because it is so close to the seafront it doesn't matter. Seagulls very noisy but adds to the charm!
Thank you for your favourable review of Marina Holiday Apartments. In response to the comment regarding nearby property being a bit run down, Bridlington is currently pursuing a major redevelopment programme around the harbour and town areas known as the ´Bridlington Action Plan´ aimed at enhancing the area for the benefit of residents and tourists alike. This should result in a considerable improvement for holidaymakers to the area.
