The Yorkshire region
Bridlington is set on the East Coast and has an historic old town and harbour, it is a natural harbour for ships and many shelter in the bay, at Bridlington we have one of the largest shell fishing industries in the country and you are always able to buy fresh fish that has been landed by local fishermen in the town. Scarborough is only 20 miles to the north and Hull is 30 miles to the south. Minutes drive away you are in rolling countryside of the Wolds. The historic city of York is only an hours drive away from the town and is worth a visit whilst you are in the area
There is the most stunning and delightful sea fronts in England, on the south side is a sandy white beach, on the north side is stunning cliff walks to Sewerby and beyond. There is a cycle track, large green areas to walk a footpath and a land train runs through the season which runs from the south side through to Sewerby on the north side. There is a lovely park at Sewerby with miniature golf, children's play area and childrens zoo. There are many concerts and shows which take place at the Spa Royal Hall which is also a venue worth visiting. There is a pleasure boat which runs in the season for trips out in the Bridlington Bay and goes up and down the coast at a leisurely pace, for the more daring you can take a speed boat ride in the bay! There is the famous "Bird Sanctuary" at Bempton just 3 or 4 miles away a family favourite, and easily the best place in England to see, hear and smell seabirds! More than 200,000 birds (from April to August) make the cliffs seem alive – with adults bringing food to their nests, or young chicks making their first faltering flights.
Seaside House is only minutes from the seafront and beach, the seafront is flat so is the perfect location to stay in the town (location, location, location)!

"We couldn't have asked for anything more - fabulous"
Three friends traveled to re-connect with a long lost friend, 'Seaside House' was beautiful maintained and well-equipped. They have thought of everything - even down to the dishwasher tablets and the all important 'corkscrew'.
On arrival we found the house to be lovely and warm; inviting and tea/coffee and biscuits laid out. The kitchen is well equipped, clean, well-decorated, spacious and would very easily cope with catering for a larger group.
The hallway is spacious, plenty of room for shoes/coats/wellies etc. The lounge has a log burner (we didn't use it, however it looked in full working order) if our stay had been for longer I'm sure we would have made good use of it. The sofa and chairs are all recliners -very comfortable and 'Sky' TV is also available.
The bedrooms are spacious, clean and well decorated (the owner has kept a lot of the original details such as the coving and architecture). The master bedroom has an en-suite and the bathroom is outstanding. Plenty of hot water and well stocked with 'emergency' toiletries.
There is a small garden with table and chairs, decking and a summer house - we sat out and enjoyed sounds of the seaside.
Plenty of 'off road' parking.
Overall the house is decorated to a high standard. Exceptional clean and the linen was fresh, clean and suited our needs. The house is located on a lovely road which in its day was 'one of the posh parts' of Bridlington - we thought the area was quiet, safe and welcoming.
A Morrisons local is within walking distances, as are takeaways/restaurants/chemist. The North beach is a 2 minute walk from the house; the town centre is 5 minutes walking distance.
The communications I received from the owner were fantastic, friendly, well informed and helpful.
