This ultra chic country property is set on the Quantock Hills which was the first area in the UK to be classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty consisting of Oak woodlands and ancient parklands and is 1.5 miles from the coast. The perfect luxury retreat for those wishing to enjoy some of the best that Somerset has to offer; open moorland, ancient stream laced wooded coombes, fascinating and diverse coastal reaches.Recently refurbished, both the property and landscaped gardens are the epitome of style, luxury and comfort, making it a wonderful place for couples and families alike, including the dogs. The outlook from the property is peaceful and rural and the views are quite fantastic out to the coast below and up the ancient beech tree avenue. The village of Kilve is 1 mile away and has a pub/restaurant, Post Office and village store. The larger village of Williton, 5 miles away, has a range of shops restaurants and several pubs. There are a variety of places to visit further afield such as Dunster Castle, Clarke’s village, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge. There are also many quiet bays with sandy coves within a short drive and most accept dog walkers year round. With the Quantocks quite literally on your door step, you are spoilt for choice, be it walking the famed Coleridge Way, mountain biking, horse riding or simply relaxing in your own wild flower terraced garden looking out to sea.

This 5 star private accommodation is approached via its own woodland driveway and is attached to the east side of the owners’ private stable courtyard and offers TWO bedrooms. The sumptuous master bedroom suite has a super king-size bed which is enshrined in a golden silk canopy, damask wall paper, a roll-top bath for two and en-suite WC. The other has a king-size bed and an adjacent shower room with WC and washer/dryer. Both rooms have zip-and-link beds (that can be made into twin beds on request), flatscreen TV’s with DVD. Lounge/kitchen diner: spacious open-plan living area with a 3 metre vaulted ceiling from which hangs an antler chandelier. Comfortable seating including day bed (which doubles as a single bed as required), flatscreen TV, DVD, iPod dock and woodburner (first basket of logs provided). Dining table for 5 people plus high chair. Bespoke high gloss kitchen with granite work-surfaces, American style fridge/freezer, electric oven with hob, dishwasher, instant boiling hot water tap for teas and coffees and a separate cold water filter tap. Plenty of space for wellies and coats. Outside: Enclosed garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Large flat Zen inspired patio flanked by exotic tropical plants. A “secret” garden with water feature, large day bed and a wild flower terraced garden. Amenities: 3 dogs welcome. Wi-fi included. Additional info: The vehicle approach to the property is steep. The stable courtyard houses the owners 3 horses. There are 13 steep steps from the parking area to the cottage. Parking direct outside of the property can be arranged on request.
