We are situated close to the unique habitat of the Somerset levels with its wildlife, nature reserves and waterside walks.Ideal for otter and bird spotting...look out for the cranes and bitterns re-introduced into the area recently. The history and mysticism of Glastonbury with the famous Glastonbury tor and abbey is about 12 miles distant. The Quantock Hills and Exmoor are about half an hour away and provide great places for walking, mountain biking and admiring beautiful scenery. The old steam train journeys along the coast evoke times past, taking you from Bishops Lydeard through some beautiful countryside past Dunster castle to Minehead.Don't miss the caves and Mill at Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge, especially good for a rainy day. Clarks Village at Street houses many factory outlet shops and are good for bargains. The city of Bath with the Roman baths, Royal Crescent, Bath Spa and Abbey are about an hour away. We are located in easy reach of many wonderful places for days out.
