About the home
Turning off the road you travel up the beautiful tree lined driveway and into a safe parking area out of sight of the road and protected by cctv. The accommodation is then reached by a pathway leading up into the orchard and into your own private area with garden furniture and a BBQ where you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the orchard garden.
Entering the apartment through double patio doors you reach the living room.
The living room has an open plan kitchen area including electric hob, fridge and microwave where you can cook up some food whilst keeping up your conversation, watch TV or DVDs, listen to the radio or catch up with your emails.(Wifi connection available)Tea towels and kitchen basics are included and a welcome pack including tea, coffee, milk, bread and eggs from our own chickens will be waiting for you so you can arrive and eat at home if you want to. There is a sofa bed in the lounge as well, so although the apartment generally sleeps two, it is possible for up to two more people to be accommodated by arrangement.
The shower room has an electric power shower, sink and loo. There is a washing machine too, handy if you don’t want to carry much luggage with you. Towels and locally made soap will be include

There are two great pubs within easy reach the Puriton Inn is a ten minute walk away and serves great food and beer and the Crossways is a short drive down the road and is also great for food and drinks.

The Whole accommodation has been recently refurbished and is in superb condition, all electrical items are brand new inc TV. New flooring throughout and new breakfast bar.

There is a small decking area directly outside the front door, which leads into a small orchard and grassed area, There is seating and a BBQ provided wood or charcoal can be provided at a small charge. There is exterior lighting so relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine is lovely.
The parking area has cctv so you can park up in peace knowing you vehicle is safe.

Conditions
Changeover day is generally a Saturday checking out by 11am and in between 2pm and 4pm but out of season we may be able to be flexible about this. It may also be possible to consider short breaks at certain times of the year. Please call us for a chat and we will see what we can do!
The West Country / Somerset region
We are situated close to the unique habitat of the Somerset levels with its wildlife, nature reserves and waterside walks.Ideal for otter and bird spotting...look out for the cranes and bitterns re-introduced into the area recently. The history and mysticism of Glastonbury with the famous Glastonbury tor and abbey is about 12 miles distant. The Quantock Hills and Exmoor are about half an hour away and provide great places for walking, mountain biking and admiring beautiful scenery.The old steam train journeys along the coast evoke times past, taking you from Bishops Lydeard through some beautiful countryside past Dunster castle to Minehead.Don't miss the caves and Mill at Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge, especially good for a rainy day. Clarks Village at Street houses many factory outlet shops and are good for bargains. The city of Bath with the Roman baths, Royal Crescent, Bath Spa and Abbey are about an hour away. We are located in easy reach of many wonderful places for days out.
Nearest Coastline: The beaches of Burnham-on-Sea including Berrow Beach and Brean Sands. Weston Super Mare. One and a half hours drive from Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon.
The Bridgwater / Dunball area
Bridgwater is the nearest town. It was the home of Admiral Blake father of the British Navy. The famous Bridgwater Guy Fawkes carnival is held in November and is the biggest of its type in the uk.
During the English Civil War the Monmouth Rebellion was crushed at the Battle of Sedgemoor and its possible to visit the site of the battle nearby.

By motorway leave the M5 at junction 23 signposted Bridgwater. At first roundabout turn right towards Bristol and Highbridge. Keep right hand indicator on and count three lamp posts on you left hand side, our trackway is opposite third lamp post.
By train there is a station in Bridgwater either Taxi using these instructions or by prior arrangement we can pick you up from station.
By plane, the nearest airport is Bristol, again use Taxi or by prior arrangement we may be able to pick you up for a small fee.
