Home description

West Farm Cottage was originally built in the 18th Century and, with 3 bedrooms, has been converted to offer accommodation for up to 5 people. The property backs onto a rear patio-garden, where you ca sit and enjoy a spot of summertime dining or simply relax and soak up the scenery.

As well s being centrally-heated throughout, the cottage also has its own wood-burner, allowing you to take advantage of all that the region has to offer, even in the winter months. There is parking for up to 2 cars and storage for bicycles.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Shropshire region

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.


Bridgnorth / Aston Eyre area

Its existence can be charted back to an entry in the Domesday Book in 1086. Aston was even visited by Tony Robinson and the ‘Time Team’, after evidence of a grand, medieval manor house was found there. Today, Aston Eyre puts you in the middle of the beautiful Shropshire countryside and in touch with a number of local attractions. Morville Hall offers a glimpse into how an Elizabethan house was run, while the Upton Cressett Hall is a 16th Century structure encompassing a 14th Century hall.

For those who want to see a bit more of the outdoors, Bridgnorth offers great walking and cycling trails, as well as fantastic angling. There, you can also explore the castle ruins or visit the market that is open every Saturday. If you fancy a touch of the exotic, you can pay a visit to the nearby Bewdley Safari Park.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
